Dreamscape 2 Vs Asguaard 2

Postby Indinera » Sun Apr 11, 2010 7:44 pm

I want to stress those two games are not planned as of now.
But let's imagine they would be announced, which one would you want best, by the sound of it?
Please explain!

Asguaard 2, I dind't know that was gonna have a sequel (If gonna have) but I really want what will turn out. I dind't think Asguaard would have a continuation after the end of the first. ;)

Want DSC II. Have enjoyed the game soooo much that I've been dreaming about how to beat so-n-so +::lol With Peeboo popping up at the end...it leaves a whole slew of questions of 'where to next?' imo. Would love this on your dream calendar +::lol Well...yeah Asguaard, too, but want this one first +::biggrin

I loved Asguaard but I'm a dreamer by nature so if you give me a chance of beating another pure nightmare I will definitely not say no! In fact, who am I kidding, I'll be wildly dreaming of it! ;) +::clap

Both games were quite open-ended, so there could easily be a sequel to both of them, but Asguaard was more story-driven, thus I would prefer Asguaard 2.

DSC is a lot about puzzles and I hope we will see more of them in the future, but it doesn't neccessarily has to be in DSC2. On the other hand, when I finished Asguaard, I felt like the story should continue.

You do kill Thanatos at the end of Asguaard though. The goal is achieved.

That's true, but still, when I finished Asguaard I really felt that the story should continue one day.
Also, the truth is, that as I already wrote in the feedback, I played DSC on "Pure Nightmare" only, and when you play game that difficult, you simply cannot really enjoy the story (don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that this is a bad thing - actually the difficulty made playing DSC a very special experience for me and I will always remember that I did DSC in the hardest possible way...), I supposse on my second playthrough it will be different.

Dreamscape is definitely less story-driven than Asguaard.
But that does not mean one wouldn't want to be curious about "what's next".

Just saw this topic, and I agree wholeheartedly with Alikamou. I really love this game: the characters are complex and fun, the plot is fresh and engaging, and, as I said elsewhere, the dialogue just rawks. I'd like nothing more than to go on another adventure with Erin, Athena, Clochette, and the intrepid Peeboo!!!

I just joined today just so I could answer the post for dreamscape2. Oh yes, hi everybody!
My vote is definitely Dreamscape 2 +::heart A fascinating game w/what I conclude could clearly be a continuation. The ending was fantastic! Here's wishing you get enough votes to put it out +::wizard
