Piu-Piu´s Piu-Piu spell

Does anyone know how to use this spell, everytime I use it, it misses. It seems to attack all the enemies.
It costs 50 MP, which it a lot for a character with low MaxMP, so I hoped for something great.
Is it intended that it always misses, or am I using it in the wrong way?

I managed to have "MegaBob" skill which costs 0 SP. He does a lot of damage but gets knocked out though.

I traded my orbs at the Guild of Magic and got four Ancient Prisms"(each one gives 8 SP permanent boost). I gave them to Piu Piu and now Piu Piu has the "MegaBob" skill.

I think he gets it eventually on leveling up because I didn't trade for anything yet and he has it.
