Out of curiosity, what are the differences with choosing one title over another? Do you get new powers or such? I'm just curious since the walkthrough doesn't say too much.

This is what I thought too. In most cases it's stats changes. Marine can have a bit more depending on whether she chooses Shiva (2 hits), Wild Goose (counter) or Spirited Heart (more hand skills).
