Finishing the forbidden zone let you have the most powerful items in the game. But if you finish the game before you cleared up the forbidden realm, you have to find the 4 Epitaph again to access the area again in NG+, since the KEY item doesn't carry over.

If you are eager to see the ending, I suggest you save before going up to the final floor.

I have run into the bug with the Dragon Armor quest. I saw that others have had that problem, and there is a fix. I can't get the fix to work. I have downloaded the fix file and put it in the location mentioned, but it didn't fix it. One thing I did notice is that there is only one file in there to begin with, so there wasn't a "Quest 55" file to delete. I would appreciate some help. Thanks!

The patch file should work. Please download this and put it in the <installed directory>/DarkEnd/Exdata folder.

Notice that you have to move to different screen first and come back to make the patch effective. Like using the Serpent Gate and come back to the Frontier, before turning in the quest.

If you have turned in the quest before patching, you need to find the required materials again.

I haven't been able to get the patch to work. I have went back through some other dungeons to give the patch time to kick in, but it isn't. I am not sure what I am missing. +::Dunno

Hmm... the fix should work, as long as you put the fix file in the correct directory...
Have you turned in the materials and finished the quest before applying the fix? If so, you have to find the require materials again to turn in the quest again to finish it correctly.

No I have all of the materials needed. I had read about the bug so I wanted to save before I lost everything, so I would need to go get them again. I placed the patch in here...<installed directory>/DarkEnd/Exdata folder, so that should be the right place. I am not sure what to do now though.

Hi Kodots, I'm having trouble beating the Dragon in the Burning Caverns and would like some advice please. I'm playing with Xia and Lucion both at Level 25, can you suggest a method of attack? Do you only have the 2 characters to play with or do the others join in later?

The conclusion is sad and bitter, IMHO . Also, the last part of the tale, where Lucion kills his friends and all the other persons, sounds dissonant with the personality of an essentially positive character.

I enjoyed very much the game, but not its end. Sorry

Anyway, I am curious to play with the other characters as well, to know their personal history and to see different conclusions.

About the ending-

For next hero, I suggest Xia or Griselda as main character to get the better understanding of the entire story behind the DarkEnd. Now that you can import the character from previous play through, NG+ will be a breeze for you
