Thought I'd start a thread for this so people know which are the best places in each chapter to level up. I'm currently farming levels for my lower level characters in the Crystal Caves. Those slimey things can be tough but are susceptible to exhaustion, paralysis, sleep, ice jail and many more conditions! Even Rosa is getting tons of XP!

The trial of Kondler is also a good place to level up

For the first chapter, there is one Zeon you can fight over and over near the beginning.
It's not a fast training, but it's a good place to train and get enough money to buy supplies.

But the Trial of Kondler is in Chapter 12 while Crystal Bridge is in Chapter 10. And monsters in trial kill my members!

Crystal zapoos underwater. Seem to be infinite on click and give 20,000xp per battle (if they dont all run)

They only give me 11,000 XP max + 4500 gold per round, but you're right, it's very fast. With Xander I one-hit them all and got Xander from 55-80 in a matter of mere minutes. :-P

Btw, they are not infinite... I just ran out. You only have enough to get one set of low level chars to 99 approximately.

Choose your chars wisely...

The trainer in Daryl's Lab is good to level up the new characters. Pretty easy fight, good drops of gold and items, a healer two steps to your left and a store a few steps to your right.

There is also a cave at the beginning of the island that Alexandra ends up on after the shipwreck that regenerates three enemies. Not very strong and not a lot of hp but if you need money for something on the island it is a good place to get gold without wiping out your party. There is also a place to sleep right outside the cave if you need it.

Trial of Kondler has a problem - you cannot do it twice with the same characters!

I am in the second visit to Kondler, and am now trying to level up those who did not go through the trial (don't touch the flame, you can enter again and the monsters will respawn).

I think it is supposed to be that way so you don't do it more than once with the same character.

True, but I already finished the quest with 16 characters.
Now I need it for levelling only. The "allow character only once" should be turned off once you finish the quest, IMHO.

Yveen can go more than once so you can use her and Random to do the other characters who haven't been through it.

Edit: Plus it gives the added bonus of leveling Yveen up. Next time thru except for the first party, Yveen will be in all of my parties. It will takes longer but Yveen levels up and you get more chances for the drops.
