Killing Titanic

Killing Titanic

Postby Quimby » Sat Sep 11, 2010 2:15 pm

I have been trying for three days to kill Titanic according to the guide and what I have read in the forum. I am getting really bored! Is there a way to by pass this section? I fear I am not going to continue.

Thanks

Are you trying to get away from him now or are you already at the institute? Because if you're just trying to run away through the snow he won't die, ever.

I am at the institute and have the card - I cannot sell anymore stuff to buy Life Potions and soon will have nothing left - when I have Random Defend it works sometimes - I spend all my time resurrect everyone

Did you try using the card to lower his stats first?

What are your character levels?
If I remember correctly, Titanic only attacked Random. Daryl used his card, the others kept healing Random.
Random used Fury and polished off Titanic in a few rounds ...

Hmmn, perhaps you are right, I have forgotten.
In any case, Titanic was not hard at all,

The hardest fight I have ever done, was in LP3 in the Hall of Madness -
King Duncan II (Conciousness, Dead Mind x9) - dear Goddess, that was a truly insane fight!

well it's very possible some players find him hard, because he is TOUGH.
But that depends also on importing or not, easy mode or not etc.

Random is Lv50, Angelina Lv46, Guanidin Lv43, Daryl Lv33 and Nash Lv41 - I did D-Dec first then S which I interchange with Yellow - the lowest I got him was 20453

Your levels look low to me. You might be better off with a good imported save from LF2.
For comparison I had Random 99, Cocka-Cocka 90, Guanidia 82, Daryl 33.

All (except Daryl) have high defence and can take a few hits. Hence they can heal themselves / Random while Random does good damage (equip him with the Key of the Hero and Orb of Damage - he gets Weapon H-Boost AND Weapon Boost).

I have a save with them just after they reached the Institute warehouse. My next save is after the fight, so I don't have one just before the fight. Let me know if you want any of these saves to go ahead.

Being good has nothing to do with it, for me at least. It is more about being obsessed :).
If you want really good files, wait for Kanifer or someone like him to post their files..

Here's the save file before fighting Titanic, just after reaching the Warehouse.

Here's the save file after Titanic, just before leaving the institute.

Hope this helps.

I used Random, Daryl, Angelina and Cocka Cocka. I had Random defend, Daryl D-Def and then S. Yellow never worked for me, but when it became possible to use Red it whalloped the bejeebers out of him. Cocka Cocka I used primarily to use items to build Random and others back up, but I didn't go at him without Random being level 99. As long as Random and Angelina weren't knocked out, Titanic went after them first and left the other two alone. Also, use Random's Metallist Curse to start out.
