What is the use of Oglong's Monster Respawn spell?

I read a thread in which person talked about theoretical unlimited experience by using this spell during battle with Crystal Zapoos. He said he would try it but there wasn't any post after that. Anyways I decided to try this with Krandar as the battle rewarded me with about 3000 exp and Krandar Jaws (sometimes). So I annihilated Krandar (but left some enemies) and then used Oglong's skill. Did this a no. of times. At the end, after about 7 times, I got rewarded the same experience and no Krandar Jaws.

I tried the skill with Absolom Invocater in Trial of Kondler. It failed as well. So I wanted to know just what is its use .
