Be careful if you make a woman cry because God counts her tears
Woman came out of a man's rib
Not from his feet to be walked on
Not from his head to be superior but from the side to be equal
Under the arm to be protected and next to the heart to be loved

I already posted this question but could someone tell me how to make the screen where you can chose the members in your party and the screen where you can see your quests? I liked the ones in the Laxius Force games. Is there a special script for those?

Yeah, you need a script for doing that. :) Try googling ''Leon's Party changer script'' :) I use it and it's very easy too :)

edit:About the quest log thing, the one used in Laxius force was Zeriab's Quest Log script :) Zeriab said that anyone could use the script commercially or non-commercially as long as you gave credit to him :) I'd give you the link to the scripts if you'd like :)

I just copy pasted the script. I think it said to put it above 'Main' but below anything else so thats what i did. I don't know how to actually open the screen in the game.

I just checked it and it isnt in the menu. Is it normal that when i copy/pasted it that insead of going down the page, the script just made one long line? It's the only way it pastes.

I did what you said and this time it pasted normally but it still doesn't work. It's supposed to be in the menu right? The same one where you get Items, Equip, ect? It's not there. +::Dunno

#    -You can set the maximum and minimum number of the party in-game using:
#       $game_party.min_size = x
#       $game_party.max_size = x
#       (NOTE: Do NOT make the max size lower than the minimum size.)
#    -Allows you to use the default add/remove actors command.
#       (NOTE: If you remove an actor with this method, he is gone from both
#              the party and the reserve members.)
#
#      - Remove locking:$game_party.locked.delete(n)

Re: General Game Making questions

Postby EmeraldEyez » Wed Apr 13, 2011 1:49 pm

I decided that I would try to create an RPG in my spare time, and I was wondering which you all prefer...

XP or VX...I have downloaded both, and tried both

XP seems a little more difficult to navigate through, but the graphics are much better

VX seems a little more user friendly, but graphics are a little too old school for me....

Comments are greatly appreciated :)....I have never made any games before so I am sure it is going to take me forever to learn the systems, but I can't wait to try :)

Thanks for the help!!
