That's funny because I found the Aegis during my first playthrough. I guess I need to go back to the dinosaurs before I go through the final portal.

Your list sounds like it doesn't need help from me. If you find any gaps in your info, I could only offer a small amount of help at best.

If you want help creating a PDF walkthrough for a future game, I think @LadyJJ and I might be able to help (as long as we get a free copy). Both your recent games were deserving of a walkthrough with or without actual maps. For example icons for hex and curse were hard for me to remember some times and simple "mud maps" would suffice when paired with a flowchart approach to "what's next".

This game is as fun to play a second time as the first. If Indy doesn't release next week, I guess I'll be playing "Barry" again instead.

have found the green isle with volcanoes but see no where to land the ship. How do you get in to it?

I did find the perfect ice. I just never bothered to take it to Maduin and went off exploring. Got badly beaten by the flying dragon and then went looking for the volcanoes.

You should craft at least 10 Mega Elixirs before you take on the dragon. I started the battle with 20 because @Lady JJ gave a heads up for this one. You should probably try the dragon after you get the Perfect Fire and Maduin opens the portal to the final area.

Dragon of Perdition is the strongest monster in the game

if you don't have the best gear and are a high level - don't waste your time.'

you don't deserve to beat the Dragon, and you won't. LOL

Come back with Excalibur and level 60+

Having gotten permission from Crawfors, I am now posting a walkthrough. I tried to be as accurate as possible, but it may be that I either missed a treasure chest here or there, or even that I doubled up on them. Still, the really good items / equipment should be as stated. I'll be glad to edit this post if anyone finds any errors or omissions. Thanks to @Crawfors for this really entertaining game.

Walkthrough - 7th Star


Years drag on, the War of the Wolves drags on. People believe there is no end in sight. People begin to hear of a rumor of the 7th hero. Could she finally bring an end to the war?

Queen Rosa's Castle
Queen Rosa consults with her advisor, Lord Shobi, who says scouts are reporting that Lord Warwick is in a fragile mental state, that he is slaughtering his own men. They believe the time has come to strike. Lord Shobi attacks Fort Rembrandt only to find it was a trap, Lord Warwick is of total sound mind and Lord Shobi's army is soundly beaten by Warwick and Quarry. Lord Shobi retreats.

Battle with Lord Shobi. (Best to just have Quarry guard and heal if necessary, Lord Warwick will single handedly defeat Lord Shobi)

Quarry makes her way to King Reinford at Rinehart Castle. The king congratulates her and tells her to return to her home in Four Rivers and take a well deserved rest. He assigns the guard, Asyre, to accompany Quarry.

NPC (Game Strategy) - For every 20 points of attack you have, your critical chance increases by 1%. Dexterity dictates your hit %, evasion % and order of combat. Resistance state increases magical defense and magical evasion %. Monsters drop useful crafting and alchemy items. Battle experience also gives Veteran Experience (VE) which can be spent to learn/upgrade stats starting at level 30. Options continue to unlock up to level 40.
Also, there's trouble in the Rinehart City sewers.

Party Member-Asyre (Blade Master) joins Quarry's party as a mercenary escort. He does swear, though he'll sell his services to the highest bidder, his allegiance is to the south.

Leave the castle, head north to Rinehart.

Rinehart
Rinehart Historian (NW courtyard)-Speak with this NPC periodically throughout the game. He gives useful tidbits of information. The dialogues will change as the story/game progresses.
1. You know King Reinford comes from a line of mighty warriors. They say his great grandfather stopped a mighty demon warlord and a creature called The Master. As for Rinehart Kingdom? This place is a monument to his excellency and his great leadership.'

Four Rivers
Cutscene with Northern Soldiers invading Four Rivers. "The North is here to take what is ours. Step aside." Quarry says Four Rivers has always stayed neutral and they will bend for no one. Battle ensues (party has been auto-healed). Defeat the soldiers, check on everyone in the town, speak with the town leader, Sade. In Quarry's home, she reveals her mother and father are both dead and she has a grandfather, but she doesn't know who or where he is.

Sade tells Quarry the fishing spot to the west has been overrun with monsters lately, but there is a 'cat person' who might be able to help against the northern soldiers. Sade also tells Quarry of the Viper Cavern to the east where the snakes have been wandering out too frequently. She asks Quarry to enter the cave and bring some antivenom back to the town to protect the village children from the snakebites.

Once you've killed a few Vipers and have a couple of Antivenoms in your inventory return to Sade in Four Rivers. Sade tells you to take a little break and resume your journey in the morning.

Cutscene (past)-Garion and Sade at Quarry's father's gravestone. Garion is Quarry's grandfather. He wants Sade to protect Quarry. Quarry's father, Garion's son, has been killed in the War of the Wolves. He wants to keep Quarry away from himself so she doesn't end up in a soldier's life knowing only battle and war. Garion makes Sade promise she won't tell Quarry that Garion is her grandfather, and she will never let Quarry touch a sword. Garion is afraid that with her natural skills as a swordsmaster, she will be hunted down and forced to fight. He leaves Quarry, now orphaned, in Sade's care and says he will return in a few months to check on them. Cutscene ends.

Back in Four Rivers, Quarry wakes from an uneasy sleep. She thinks of Lord Warwick who isn't human, how could she keep him tame if he turned, she feared for her life, she knew she needed to be stronger, wiser, more cunning. She also knew the lifespan of a soldier wasn't long. Quarry and party report to King Reinford. King Reinford sends the party, sans Quarry, to Southport to ensure a shipment arrives to the castle safely. Quarry asks about the mines north of here. King Reinford says excavating those mines will come later. Esyre, Mar Gruk and Raja leave. Garion enters. King Reinford sends Quarry and Garion to Fort Rembrandt to seek Lord Warwick. No one has seen him since that first battle and the king wants to be sure he is well. King Reinford reminds them that Warwick's alchemist keeps potions prepared for Warwick to keep the beast inside him under control. Quarry and Garrion are to head over to Fort Rembrandt to offer any assistance if needed.

Before leaving, go to the joker vendor and buy materials/synthesize 200-250 Eleven Teas. This will not only raise your Alchemy Levels about 5 levels, but will also provide a good source of health/mana replenishment for the trip to the fort.

Fort Rembrandt
Lord Warwick is in charge of Fort Rembrandt. Rembrandt gave his life to save his brother from a demon. The brother 'broke' and sailed away, leaving the fort to the care of Warwick. Lord Warwick named the fort in honor of that brother. There are vendors inside the fort that sell basic healing/restorative items as well as mithril weapons/armor. Find Malah in the fort. Malah is the alchemist who keeps the demon 'quelled' inside Warwick. She tells you Warwick didn't get is serum in time and is now missing. Malah wants Quarry and Garion to accompany her and her robot, Bork, to a cave southeast to retrieve the alchemy supplies. Warwick has been reported to have gone into the desert to the north.

Garion and Quarry speak of Quarry's parents. Her mother died giving birth to her, her dad was a fisherman who ran a small shop. Garion asked how it was she became a sword wielder. Quarry says it was just fate, she had never wielded a sword before and the first day she swung her first sword was when she killed her first man. He tried to rob a store, she grabbed a sword and started swinging. She's been a sword wielder ever since. Quarry asks Garion about his past, says he visits Four Rivers frequently and wonders if he's from there. Garion stays evasive about his past. Quarry teases Garion about having 'a thing' for Sade and the conversation ends. It is revealed that Warwick is likely thousands of years old.

Game continues with Asyre, Mar Gruk and Raja getting their next assignment from King Reinford. They are asked to travel south to Southport and make sure a shipment of magical equipment from there arrives safely back here to Castle Rinehart. Once the shipment arrives and Quarry has returned they will need to scout the Dark Elves to the southeast. Asyre asks of the mines, but the king says that will need to wait until after everyone returns from the Dark Elves village. Exit the castle and head south through Gnoll Cavern to Southport.

Asyre, Mar Gruk, Raja and Vex report back to the king, Quarry and Garion return as well, King Reinford says the next jobs for Quarry's team are the means that are currently sealed off, and the Dark Elves to the southeast. The king feels obtaining the alliance of the Dark Elves is more pressing than clearing the mines. The king also says the shops have been upgraded.

Exit to the World Map and head southeast to the large forested area.

Search for the leader Midnight. Midnight says the Dark Elves will stand with King Rinehart, he is too old to fight, his daughter Sapphire will accompany Quarry in his place. Don't forget by stop by Sapphire's place and get the Magical Acorn in her chest before leaving the village.

Return to King Reinford at Rinehart Castle. He tells you to go west to Alberta, but to stop by the library first to see an 'old friend.' The library is the solo silver building northwest of Rinehart Castle. Maduin is there with Garion. Maduin has a lot to tell Quarry. Her research has led her to believe there are warriors throughout history who were chosen to protect the world, to fight against evil. The prophecies speak of these heroes as 'stars.' First there were two, a man and a woman, they had two sons, but then the man and woman turned to evil. The oldest brother killed the father. In an attempt to do the same with his mother, the younger brother died and the mother escaped. Maduin can't reveal who that older brother is, but she can verify that the the final star, the Seventh Star, will bring an end to the War of the Wolves, and Maduin astonishes everyone by naming that Seventh Star as Quarry. Quarry says she doesn't have supernatural powers, she can't possibly be the Seventh Star, Garion proposes Quarry's real powers have yet to be revealed. As Quarry leaves Maduin, Garion stops her and asks if she's okay. Garion tells Quarry when she returns, he'd like to have a serious conversation with her.

Exit the library and head west through Skullder Mountain to Alberta. If you want to include Vex in your party again, head to his house in Rinehart first and he'll join.

Proceed to Castle to speak with King Duncan. King Duncan asks you to retrieve the contents of a trunk in the basement. Defeat Guardian (Rewards-Elixir of Life, Elixir of Mana, Ring of Learning)
Return to King Duncan. The king apologizes, says Maduin had told them you were the 7th Star and Djinn wanted to test you. King Duncan pledges the support of Alberta and also joins the party to be sure the southern elves unite with King Reinford as well. King Duncan joins the party. Explore the castle to find Duncan's equipment from his chambers, then head south to the elves. The party rests for the evening. They plan to leave early in the morning.

Cutscene-Duncan has a dream. He has been having lots of dreams of late. Are they dreams or memories? Apparently he's had a problem with remembering his past for quite a while. In this dream, he awakes in the castle and goes to his brother Rembrandt's room. The two brothers then go to their father in the throne room. His father, Enoch, tells them that he and their mother, Ahnjorae, have brought the countil to unthinkable powers and that Duncan and Rembrandt will become more powerful than anyone could imagine, that it is their destiny. Enoch entrusts the Wormskull to Duncan as he is the oldest. He wants to be sure the enemies do not get ahold of the Wormskull. Duncan promises that nothing will happen to the Wormskull. The dream ends. Awake now, Duncan and Djinn think they should consult Maduin about these dreams. Now it's time for the party to travel south to the elves in Lockwood Village. First, go upstairs to Duncan's room to retrieve his Belt of the Thundergod. Then go upstairs to the Sky Garden sparkle for an Ornate Elixir. Exit the castle and head south.

Note-Duncan is going to leave the party. You may want to unequip Learning items from him if desired. Also, there is going to be a party switch, so unequip all Learning items from these party members before entering Lockwood Village. Do keep Alessia fairly well equipped, though, as she will engage in battle before that party switch.

You are greeted by Alessia who calls Duncan the Great Ruler, Defender of the Wormskull and Savior of the Demon Realm. Quarry is puzzled but says nothing. Duncan seems stunned as well. Alessia is also aware of Quarry from the Rinehart Kingdom, though she doesn't bestow any title such as Seventh Star on her. Alessia pledges the loyalty of the southern elves and joins the party. The party will return to Rinehart, but Duncan wants to return to Alberta first. He will join the party later.

Quarry's party (sans Duncan) finds themselves back in Rinehart Castle. The king has planned a small party for this evening to celebrate Quarry's success in uniting the southern kingdoms. Quarry is all dressed up. Speak to the king downstairs, then to Maduin in the library, finally Garion on the rooftop. Garion begins speaking with Quarry, it appears he is going to tell her he is her grandfather, but then a commotion breaks out. The castle is under attack, not by the north, but by monsters from another world. Quarry and Garion battle the monsters as they make their way downstairs to the king. In the ballroom, they are joined by Trine from the north. Why is a soldier from the north fighting alongside the southern forces? The game reverts back a few months to Trine meeting with the godking Anubis of the northern kingdom of Zigorn. Anubis seeks a secret weaponParty switches to Trine in the Temple of Zigorn,

Anubis tells Trine to meet up with Skye and Alden at the front entrance to the palace. Travel east to Rosa's Castle and check in with her. Her attack on Fort Rembrandt was not successful. Give her whatever assistance she needs. There are tomes that speak of a Seventh Star. Anubis believes it is a weapon that can be useful in defeating the south, he should know its location when Trine returns from Rosa's Castle.

Exit the castle, Skye and Alden join. Equip all appropriately. Travel south to Deglaw's Pass.

Rosa's Castle
Meet with Shobi and Queen Rosa. The queen is delighted to learn Trine has offered his services. She plans to disrupt the supply of magical ingredients needed to keep Lord Warwick's demons at bay. She sends Trine and his party to the small port island to the east where those ingredients are harvested to keep the supply from reaching the Rinehart Kingdom.

Leave the castle, board the ship and travel to that island. During the voyage, the ship is attacked by a sea beast. Dialogue along the way indicates the druid, Alden, may have some misgivings about aiding the north. You arrive at the Blue Town.

Blue Town
Trine 'asks' the governor to miss a few shipments to Rinehart. The governor reluctantly agrees. Alden says Trine can't just bully the townspeople into this agreement as it will upend their economy. Alden asks the governor if there's anything they can do to help the economy. The governor sends them to the Ruins of Karn to retrieve an ancient gem called the Gem of the Salamander. Leave the Blue Town by the northern exit and travel to the Karn Ruins.

Bring the Salamander Gem to the governor, set sail back to Rosa's Castle. Rosa is still hoping to unleash Warwick on his own people. Party returns to the godking Anubis. Anubis believes the relic he needs to win the War of the Wolves lies to the west. He sends Trine's party west to Bastion's Castle to see what lies there. Travel west past Jordan through the Dead Woods. When you exit the castle, Alden shares her concerns with Trine. "We're talking about a war that's lasted decades and we are headed to find some relic that's going to end it all? How exactly is it going to end it? By killing everyone in the south?" Trine says he has some reserves as well, but at the moment they have no choice. When a choice becomes available, he'll rethink his priorities. Skye is also interested in avoiding an all out war. Travel south through Deglaw's Pass to Jordan. There's a traveling salesman selling the Harbinger Lance. Buy it. Exit Deglaw's Pass and head west to Jordan

Speak with Lord Bastion to learn of your next destination, Crescent Valley, rumored to have a legendary weapon. Lord Bastion says he will prepare a boat for you to leave in the morning. That evening, Skye witnesses Varion summoning demons, just like the demons that attacked White Bridge. She is bothered by the fact that the north is pretending it is the south summoning demons. In the morning, the boat sets sail for Crescent Valley.

Visit the priest in the church. She says war may not be the answer and that leaders do not always do what is best for their people. She calls Trine not Lord Trine of Zigorn, but Lord Trine of White Bridge and suggests he start being the leader he was meant to be. She then says what he seeks lies further north in Crescent Valley.

Enter the Cave to reach Crescent Valley. Meet Sevyn. (Note: You may want to remove all learning/special equipment before doing so. Sevyn says she knew Trine would come, that she was waiting to meet him, then she was waiting for something else to arrive. A water monster appears and Sevyn knocks it out of commission. Trine realizes the ancient artifact is not a weapon but a person. They go to the church to talk. Trine and his friends believe it's time to join forces with the south to bring about a resolution to the war. Sevyn says she will join their efforts, but that helping in the war is not her real calling, it is only the beginning of what is to come. Sevyn says the south will receive them warmly. They agree to take the boat back, not say anything to anyone, then make their way south through Four Rivers and Rinehart Castle, hoping the south are willing to talk. Sevyn is confident they will be.

Cutscene to Maduin and King Duncan in the library. Maduin tells King Duncan there is a small party at Castle Rinehart to honor Quarry and her new allies. She asks if Duncan will be attending. He says he's not sure, parties aren't really his thing. Duncan tells Maduin about the elves mentioning the Wormskull and that Duncan unified the demon realm. Duncan wants to learn more and he's sure Maduin has more to tell him. Before any conversation can start though, Trine's party barges in. Trine tells them of the north summoning demons to kill their own people and blaming those deaths on the south, and also about the legendary weapon that is supposed to bring the war to an end. He then introduces Sevyn. Maduin wonders how she could have been wrong, thinking the Seventh Star was Quarry, how did she miss this? Djinn enters and says they weren't supposed to discover the truth until it was time, and now is that time. Djinn says now that his remaining stars are in a room together, it's time they all know the truth.

Eons ago, when only higher beings walked the earth, one such creature, the Methuselah existed. His only purpose was to bring chaos and destruction. Methuselah is very successful and there is very little left for him to destroy. Djinn makes a deal with him to 'sleep' for a time, giving everything time to replenish and Djinn will establish a new planet with more creatures to challenge Methuselah. Djinn also proposes he will make a set of heroes and set them on a path to save the planet. Methuselah is delighted. These new creatures will wage war until the final day when Methuselah destroys everything, unless Djinn's chosen ones can stop him. Methuselah agrees to enter a long slumber and when he reemerges, everyone and everything will die. So, eons ago, Djinn made a deal to keep the worlds alive for a bit longer. But now the time for the reemergence of Methuselah is near and it's time for his heroes to save the planet. Sevyn says Castle Rinehart is in danger and asks Trine to head on over there. Trine is on his way.

Back to the present day, King Reinford asks for an explanation as to what happened in his castle. Trine says it was the north who attacked them. Garion reminds Trine that Trime himself is from the north. Trine explains when he and his allies discovered what the north was plotting, they came to King Reinford to seek common ground. He tells the king about the demon spawning to kill their own citizens and how they were blaming it on the south. King Reinford is not sure he can take Trine's word for this, but Duncan, Maduin and Djinn arrive to vouch for Trine. They begin to plan for battle. The goal is to avoid an all out war. Trine says many in the north will follow him if he gives them a different path. He believes as the people refuse to fight, the rulers will retreat back to their respective castles. When that happens, they can make small missions to dethrone the leaders. They decide on groups. Lord Warwick will be leading a charge, King Duncan will be leading a charge, Quarry and her friends will be leading another charge. The king says they will rally above Four Rivers, where north and south meet.

Four Rivers
Garion has left a gift for Quarry in her home. Note that the armor itself is purely cosmetic. It doesn't add any equipment for Quarry, it just changes her portrait from the brown cowl to a more polished armored look. Garion tells Quarry he will see her out on the battlefield.

Quarry's party remains Quarry, Asyre, Mar Gruk, Raja, Sapphire and Alessia. Replenish your stock and re-equip your players as needed. Head north to the War of the Wolves battle. If you haven't already recruited Vex, you can find him next to your soldiers and add him to your party. Shobi Rew ard: Masamu, Rosa Reward: Scarlet Shield, Bastion Reward: Helm of the Veil

The north flees, but Garion has been slain and Methuselah is still coming. Maduin tells Quarry that Garion was her grandfather. Djinn says the war is only beginning, Anubis is waking Methuselah and soon it will all begin. This is why the stars were created. Djinn restores Duncan's memories . Quarry is still at Four Rivers. The others decide to regroup the party and start the battle to end Methuselah. Party members are now Alessia, Sapphire, Trine, Sevyn, Skye and Alden.

The party is now Trine, Sevyn, Skye, Alden, Alessia and Sapphire. The plan is to travel to Four Rivers to get Quarry back into the party, then pick up any lost party members. Where to find the party members-

Light the magic stone on the right.

Take the wide front center stairway to the new set of stairs that has appeared. Climb 2 flights down and you're back in the quicksand area again. Since you've already explored that area, climb back up the 2 flights and look at the north wall. One area appears lit. Walk through it into the Squire's Chamber. Light the unlit right magic stone. Back out of that room and take the right stairs up.

Return to the main entrance map and climb the wide front center staircase. When you reach the area with the 2 lit magic stones, climb down the left staircase 3 flights. You are now ready to do battle with Anubis (Reward-Anubis Staff). Methuselah awakens. He tells the party to enjoy the time they have left and disappears. Duncan suggests they go back to the library to talk to Maduin and Djinn.

Maduin says the party needs to seek 'two perfect elements of complete opposite' to defeat Methuselah. She asks Quarry to travel to the Land of Ice to see the first perfect element, Perfect Ice. Djinn says Methuselah is still in a weakened position, that's why he needed to escape, that the more time elapses, the stronger he will become. However, more time gives the party the opportunity to grow stronger. The Magical Mines (to the right of the Library) is now available to you and it's worth exploring before heading to the Land of Ice if you're doing Weapon and Armor crafting.

Go down the ladder to the Balrog Room
Defeat the Balrog (Rewards-Balrog Skins, Demon Crest) and grab the Perfect Fire. A portal will then appear to transfer you directly to your ship if you want, or, if you'd rather continue collecting hellstones and/or grinding, you can walk back.

Sail back to Rinehart. If you visit the Rinehart historian now in the northwest courtyard, he'll say "When the Balrog dies.. The Ultimate weapon presents itself near the seven.. or was it the Sevyn?"

Sail back to Crescent Valley and travel to Rhoden and Crescent Valley to where you first met Sevyn, receive Excalibur.

Bring the Perfect Fire to Maduin in the Library. Maduin uses the Perfect Ice and Perfect Fire to create a portal to Methuselah. You can now enter the portal to reach the final battle.

Before doing so, however, there are four optional bosses available if you haven't already bested them.

Excellent plot. Brilliant dialogue

Not vast amounts of grinding.

Took me well over 30 hours

But I cannot see a "sparkle northeast of the pyramid," even after I finished with the pyramid, so I can't find the Ring of the Heavens. What am I missing?

Re purplecap mushrooms:

I can't find Igloo. If I found this merchant earlier, is there no chance of getting these mushrooms? I've got 100% on all synthesis items except for the one that requires the purplecaps.

Never mind, found it!

Finished the game with team at about 100 and everything else at 10. Great game!
