Re: New RPG: Seventh Star - Localities

Until someone comes up with a graphic map, maybe this will prove useful.

All the places will use Rinehart and Castle Rinehart where King Reinford rules as a reference point. Castle Rinehart is grey with orange roofs. Above Castle Rinehart lies the town of Rinehart. This is the largest continent on the world map. The others are islands.

Castle Rinehart (King Reinford) gray castle with orange roofs
Town of Rinehart directly North of Castle Rinehart
Rinehart Library (Maduin) northwest of Rinehart, a single gray building
An unnamed farm directly east of Rinehart
Magic Mines northeast of Rinehart

Gnoll Cavern directly south of Castle Rinehart
Gnoll Cavern leads to Amari Dungeon
Gnoll Cavern leads further southwest to Southport
Shadow Valley (forested area) southeast of Castle Rinehart
Shadow Valley leads to Black Rock (land of the Black Elves, home of Sapphire)

Road of Sand (desert area) northeast of Rinehart
Road of Sand leads to Fort Rembrandt (Lord Warwick)
Fort Rembrandt (gray fortress in the middle of lush green lands)
Warwick Cavern southeast of Fort Rembrandt
Valley of Salt (desert) north of Fort Rembrandt, leads to Quicksand Cave

Path Way north of Rinehart, leads to Four Rivers
Four Rivers (Quarry's home)
Fishing Area (unnamed) northwest of Four Rivers leads to cat person's (Raja) home
Snake Cavern northeast of Four Rivers

Areas far north of Rinehart

Queen Rosa's Castle (Queen Rosa and Shobi) gray with purple roofs, northeast of Four Rivers
Seashore farm (unnamed, home of Traz) northwest of Four Rivers
Jordan (desert town) northwest of Four Rivers
Dead Woods west of Jordan leads to Castle of the Veil
Castle of the Veil (Lord Bastion and Varion) gray with cloudy blue roofs
Desert of Despair, far north of Four Rivers, leads to White Bridge
White Bridge (Lord Trine's home)
Deglaw's Pass north of White Bridge leads to Sand Approach
Sand Approach leads to Zigorn Temple

Smoking Mountains north of Zigorn Temple (can only reach there by boat) leads to Forgotten Trail
Forgotten Trail leads to the Pyramid

Back to Rinehart
Skullder's Mountain (volcanic area) west of Rinehart leads to the western side of the continent
From Skullder's Mountain's western side, travel north to Alberta and Alberta Palace (home of King Duncan and Djinn)

From Skullder's Mountain's western side, travel south to Livingwood Forest
Livingwood Forest leads to Lockwood Village (home of the Southern Elves and Alessia)

The Islands

Crescent Island (northwest corner below snowy lands)
Stone Hills lead Golem Caves
Golem Caves lead to Rhoden
Rhoden (cave) leads to Crescent Valley (home of Sevyn)

Large unnamed green island (northeast corner below snowly lands) doesn't appear to have anything on it

Imperial Grave island with single building southeast of Rinehart

Arch shaped island east of Four Rivers with Blue Town and Ruins of Karn

Land of the North (Perfect Ice) snowy area northern border

Land of the Lost (Perfect Fire) green forested area surrounded by volcanoes southwest corner leads to The Core

@Lady JJ
It must be reeaaally cold up there. +::biggrin

I was replaying the game for a second time and really enjoying the party switching back and forth which keeps my interest in its "newness" with each party switch.

I guess I'll have to start my previous final game save and finish mapping the regions. But you have certainly nailed it down.

EDIT: Well that was a fairly good idea, but it occured to me that where you pick up other characters may be important to some people (like where you run into Vex). Vex could be missed for people who ignore "optional areas". So, back to playing the game from the beginning. It reminds me of some Indy games where the 2nd playthrough was less tedious. But, it still is challenging.

Down right balmy today at 43 deg F, which is a far cry from the -10 deg F of yesterday. That was brutal.

I was thinking my next submission might be titled "Where do I find..." which would include NPC's, mini-bosses (though don't anyone call that Dragon of Perdition a 'mini-boss'), and more special equipment like Rembrandt and Excalibur. :)

Good idea, but definitely spoiler stuff. Did you find "Eden" (a mini boss with a couple of decent drops) near the end of the game? She was in the first "Path Way" map north of Rinehart and I found her totally by accident. Not a hard battle, but I like occasional surprises when they don't kick my butt because I'm unprepared.

I think I am only going to map the continent because you covered so much in your post about the islands.

Don't forget about the igloo when you write "What is Where?".

The "secret" store is in Alberta, not Jordan. That was a misstatement by @crawfors.

Spoiler: show
You need to talk with someone in the guild if you didn't find the one in Alberta.

Hi Everyone!

Life got in the way LoL, but I'm back and playing. w00t!

Where do I find Troll Skin? It's the only thing I can't find anywhere? Need it for my last recipe. :)

There are trolls, random encounters in Livingwood Forest, that will drop troll skins fairly regularly.

Livingwood Forest is south of Alberta on the way to Lockwood Village where you recruited Alessia.

sounds like north into FOur Rivers.
first visit the town

get your gift from Garion in Quarry's house,

then take your team north past the town to lead the war against the northern army

Thank you for writing back

Got to level 3 fishing but was unable to fish in the area to the lower right looking at the fishing village - spirit or ghost something. What has to happen to be able to fish there? Shadow Valley is the area I am asking about
