You are right and even more than important Xp or PC age is DirectX version
Ideally you should have directX10 or DirectX9.0c depending on your graphic card

You can also try and update your directX, it's always a good thing to do with your PC:

I am running XP and upgraded my direct x like you said. It still won't play on my computer. +::cry

I am updating the server, as we speak, with a lighter version, that would only requires directX9 so more likely to work on XP, as well as a Input Key selection screen... ( i will udpate my post when upload is done -> IT S DONE...)

I wasn't expecting that many issue of XP....sorry and many thanks for your patience

Yeah ^^ DirectX10 (or HighDef profile) is standard on Xbox

..so I can use dxtcompress texture and better pixel shaders

the server has been updated with another version normally it should fit to many more PC config.

Please MP me if it still does not work...possibly with the error you get during the install process

Okay I just got a new video card and now it works great but unfortunately I cannot use my game pad. I have to use arrow keys and I cant play like that. Is there a way to use my game pad? Does anyone know? +::cry

Hello everyone that wants to play this game. I learned a lot about video cards and graphics while wanting to play this game. I upgraded my video card to one that supports 1 gig of ram. This is not the same RAM for computer memory but ram for the graphics card I think. Also, if purchasing a video card make sure your computer speed is compatable with the card. I was so confused but finally got one and installed it. Now however, I cannot play with my game pad so unless I can play with my Logitec Game Pad, I will not purchase it. It is really interesting otherwise and he has voices and everything. If arrows and keypad are not a problem, it seems like a great game.

Thanks for your feedback, I will try and send you a coupon for your great help

I've just uploaded the server with a brand new package with this issues fixes :
- Should work not only with Vista/7 + DirectX10, but also XP + DirectX9.c
- The installer do no check anymore for your .net installer (it wasn't necessary and way confusing as it generated a "Cannot instal on .net4 or lower" error
- At the intro screen you can custom your keys/input using The Commands options

I have downloaded this game and it loads fine and it looks very nice.

I however am having an issue with the keyboard controls.

I used the command menu and used the keyboard controls for the game and saved.

Now I am at the forest and I need to forage for mushrooms but I cannot move at all. My "Action/dialogue" key is set using the ENTER key but I cannot move. I pressed all the keys but cannot move.

I will reload and try again because I may have done it wrong.

Also I am running the game with windows 7(64 bit) with a Nvidia Geforce GTX 570 card and Directx 11.

The game looks very nice if I could use the keyboard to play. +::Dunno

EDIT:
I used the following settings for the keyboard.
Action/dialogue: ENTER
Cancel: C
Weapon hit: x
Cast a spell: d
Item menu:f
Weapon menu: r
Skill menu:t
Accessory menu:g
Options menu:ESC

These are all the default for the game and none of the keys will work.

Hello Everyone. I just wanted you to know that Roys the developer of this game is just Awesome. If you PM him with problems, he gets back to you and helps you get the game working and even helped get my gamepad to working as well. I just wanted to share this with everyone.
