Have been to see Mina's father and witnessed the touching reunion, now on the way out i'm stuck behind a rock in the Narrow Passage -- can't roll it in any useful direction. How do I get out of there and, also, what am I supposed to do next?

That is an outdated version you have, that small bug was already reported and corrects, just download the game again please.

I need a little guidance - I've been through Lugosi, the Chiropteran's den quest, visited the Hermit with Mina in the party, been back and forth through Bathory Flats more time than I can count, been to Carmilla's house, where it seems the only thing to do was to play the flute by the gravesites, and am now totally lost with what to do next to keep the story moving....

If you've been to Carmilla's place then I guess you have the "Bat"... fly with it southwest of Tepes and you will find the capital city of Belmont, that is where you need to go.

The Bat? Then I've missed something -- the door to the warehouse in Tepes is locked; I assume the bat is in there and that I have not picked up the proper key for it? Or how do I get the bat? Sorry to be pesky, so far it's been fun.
