This is a brand new game from a brand new developer. It is said to be very long which seems a great plus. Give the demo a shot and see if you like it. :)

Here is what they write about it:

Valcarta is a magical world suspended high above the clouds, out of reach of you or I... And on this island like world are many things far greater then anything our world has seen. Magic and Monsters rule over these lands... Not machines or money. Valcarta is a strange world indeed, will you dare to take a peek?

Valcarta I: Rise of the Demon, takes place on this magical world, within a province called Drachell. You will play as a young man named Valak, a villager from Orm. On a special day, where he is called upon by the mayor, Valak finds himself thrown into adventure by receiving a mysterious power by a witch! Little does he know, he is now on his was to sealing the fate of Drachell and all within it, forever.

Must be a misprint for the game cost as it comes up as $15.00 US not $5.00 as advertised+:: +::Dunno

Will be honest, I was expecting better.

Here are the problems I noticed when I started playing.

You instantly take control of the character. There is nothing said until you take your first step.
Some maps are empty in places and others are cluttered.
Some of the events move to quickly so you can't even talk to them.
No music in battle or on the world map.

I'm sorry if the developer or anyone thinks I am being rude by saying this but it is bad. The first 5 minutes are meant to catch your audience... the first 5 minutes for me pushed me away. And if the game is long with all the things listed above. As the dragons from Dragons Den would say, "I'm Out."

Played a bit of the demo, didn't like it. Like Nekos said, the beginning starts veery boring and very cliché... like, you wake up... move (it took me a few seconds to realise that I had to, because I had to move in order for the game to start...) and then talk to the mayor and he'll give you a mission (really? I mean... REALLY?). Dind't liked how thin the letters in the message boxes were, it was very boring and unexciting to read. The music of the village suddenly stopped while I was walking, and the mapping wasn't too good either. Not trying to be rude, but I didn't liked this game at all.

i agree with both Nekos and D-S! every town has 4-6 houses, always the same, always the same furniture, people,etc..everything is too standard and not polished..it is an amateur game and i have nothing against amateurs but again, 15 dollars? dear developers, you have to reconsider the relation between what you offer and what you expect to get from it!

I don't want to talk about this game specifically, since I haven't played it, but I would say in addition to what Aggeliki said, it's important to have a look around and see what other devs offer too.

This is the reason I lowered the game price for Eternal Abyss from $10 to $5 because the game was rushed near the end. That is clearly visible in the last dungeon which is hardly a dungeon. My grammar and spelling isn't the greatest either and that had a few faults. The main problem with EA was that it had no quest log and people easily got lost... and the 1 bug in the tower.
