The walkthrough for Chapter 12 is too long to fit into the 60,000 character limit for posts, so I’ve had to split it, although I know that is inconvenient for users. Part I goes from the beginning until after the return from the Lost Island and completing the Legendra Tower and immediately before going up to the Throne Room.

Comments and suggestions for improvements welcome.

1. If you have not already got Lilly’s Mega Bazooka, you need to do it now as this has to be done before going to Kondler. See para. 71 of Chapter 11 walkthrough. If you have not already done so, go to the Mage Guild, speak to the little fairy at the top and ask for Old Teaching, Class Boost. For 250g, Xander has a choice of 7HP, 12MN, 5ST/RS/3LV. This was available earlier, but I wanted the 3LV and these are more valuable later on when it takes ages to level up. Ask for Spell Learning. For 250g each, Xander can learn Mist of Symphony and Beholder’s Halo.

2. Make your way to the Port (east side, after the Fighter Guild). On your way buy the Zulmar Card (ultimate weapon) from the ring shop if you haven’t already done so. Enter the Port and take the top metal gangplank. Inflict battle boosts as this is a very tough fight and save. Kandar has friends with him. Metallist curse and then cast sleep – but one friend (forgot to note the name, but bottom right hand corner and name begins with B) is immune to sleep and can cause a lot of damage, so target it with physical. Use Fury, keep casting sleep, Burning Ground is also a help. Krandar drops Krandar Jaws, about the best jaws in the game, so keep re-loading until you get it. It took me 11 attempts, but it’s worth it. Quest complete.

3. Now make your way back to the item shop on Main Avenue. Boost Luci’s MN with equipment and then inflict Half Goddess and speak to Espina who is possessed. If Luci fails get an Int Seminary, but I got 8999 without. Quest complete. Do not go to collect your reward yet. I explain why below. Also buy all healing, restoring and boosting items that you think you might want. Go to Leni at the Wanderers Guild; ask for Latest Gossips, then ‘Can I help you Leni?’. She will ask you to greet a friend, Jabbijo, who’s just arrived. Go down to the steps below the Inn, there is a blue Lamia to the right. Speak to her and you’re taken straight back to Leni and receive 40GWP.

4. Return to the port and enter the Tavern at the top; go to the back room, quest complete. Captain Nahem admits that he lied; he’s never been to Kondler. He offers his boat but refuses to go himself. Luci decides to look for a map. Go to the Port Office at the bottom of the port. On the way stop off at the Pet Shop for some Over Shark Coats; Angelina can wear these as well as your pets. In the Port Office go to the top left hand room, click on the book on the table. Quest complete. There is a chest near the old woman in pink with 2 Wave Vibrators.

5. The reason why I suggested that you don’t collect your rewards and buy all the equipment and items now is that we are about to go to the House of Vision and you might decide to accept game over and loss of 10% of your money rather than finish this quest entirely. You will thus lose less money than if you hadn’t spent it now. Select ‘My Quest’ from Xander’s skill list. He wants the Zombomancer Cape. Go down to 1001 Lakes and all the way up to the stairs leading to the House of Vision. Have Fierce in your party as well as Xander. Here you will meet red scorpions and if they touch you, it’s game over, so you might want to save more frequently. Fierce can sometimes kick them a few steps out of the way, but be prepared to exercise your patience to the maximum.

6. Go up, right, first down and right to the end. Up into the room and activate the switch to ‘on’. Activate the switch outside to ‘on’ Return to where you saw the first scorpion by a pillar. Go left, down, ignore the first room on the left, down and into the bottom room. Go straight to the chest in the bottom left hand corner. To get out, I dodged south of the brown items on the floor and out the door. Go up; there is a room to the left with an empty chest, so ignore it. Instead go up the path almost directly above you. You will meet a lot of enemies, the only ones I can’t remember meeting before were a Drak ‘O Zeeb (metallist curse and Kratin takes it out in one) and Aqua Orkus (Fury). Go left and up to two chests. The right hand one has a Moon Dew, the left one has the Zombomancer Cape. Quest complete. You can now leave the House and save outside so that you can avoid losing your money in further explorations. Confession time: my reflexes are not fast enough to complete the exploration, despite many attempts. There are other switches to activate, but it will need another player from the forum to complete the description of this area.

7. Go back to the Mage Guild and report your success to receive a miserly 900g for Kandar and 1200g for Espina. Put your new characters through the flame test if you have not already done so. Angelina does not need the ante-flame gloves and Deuteriun seems not to be able to do it. Get any other boosts you would like. Return to HQ; there is another box from Pierrick with a life apple. Then return to the Port area. Take the middle metal gangplank to the end and Nahem’s boat. They sail and eventually hit something. Luci goes to find out what. Go downstairs to Helmaar for a few items if you think you are short. Go the stairs up at the south end of the boat and speak to Peters. You are attacked and must chose 4 teams to defend increasingly tough enemies. My teams in order of appearance were:
(a) Yveen, Kratin, Askhbar, Guanidia. You face St Helms, Sea Dragons and various squid.
(b) Sarah, Brussian, Lilly, Fierce, enemies as before plus Titanium Anaconda.
(c) Wendala, Cocka-Cocka, Xander, Herasia, as before but some double Anacondas. Fire Storm and Shocker (now attacks all) saw everything off.
(d) Random, Nash, Tara, Rosa. As before, bigger groups. Pre-emptive Orgy of Flames eliminated some groups on its own.
Quest complete for all members of the teams. You now arrive at an unknown ‘Place in the Sea’. Note, you only have 2 members in the team, so add in the others.

8. This is the only time you visit this place, so all quests must be done now. Go up, Sheila gives you a little information about the place. Go down and left. Pinto tells you that you’re meeting ghosts. Go left, up and accept Girild’s offer to take you to another part of town. Zohura has a shop selling you equipment you can’t use now; buy it. Go left and up; Damanis sells azure and golden pearls. If you are new to the game, Sarah has a skill, Tigo Pearl Refining; she can turn these pearls into useful items. However, please note that the azure pearls give Aqua Spray which you can buy from the Undead Guild for 70g and Aqua Lung which you can buy for 14g at Ultai. The golden pearls give Tigo Reagents (3HP permanent), Tigo Powder (rem. exhaustion, but no HP, so only a few for emergencies are needed IMO) and Aqua Sprays. I only go for Tigo Reagents, and save and reload until I’ve turned them all into that.

9. Return to Girild and ask to go to another part of town. Go down, left and up and speak to Sheila who has a shop. Choose ‘Talk’ and she will tell you that she’s lost a gem. This doesn’t show up in your quest list. Return to the boat and ask Roberta to take you to the second dock. Go up; Allispira sells helmets. Go left; Becca warns you not to go up, so that’s what you do. Open the window and first fight 2 Titanium Anacondas and some Sea Dragons. Then an Oghmor appears; Metallist curse and Fury from Random and Lord of the Dance from Luci did it. You get a Kadaboom. Speak to Becca again with Luci in the party for an Int Seminary.Go left and up. There’s a Nantachrilis Lance you can now get. The middle barrel to the left has a holy water. The bottom left barrel of the group of 4 has a magicka energizer. Go back down, left and up to where Karna is. With Alexandra in the party, click on the books. A dream begins.

10. Go right. Alexandra is worried about looking for an airport. Go down and then right to a line of chests. Each one has a fight and an item. Starting at the top they are: 3 Lementons and 3Lv for Alexandra; 3 Lamentons and 6666XP; Robit and 3 Indigo Oils; Robit and 2 Toxic Waters; 3 Lamentons and 10 HP; Robit and Barynium Gel and H-Bomb; 3 Robits and 4 H-Bombs and an Eschlachaboom. Return to the path and go left. There is a chest in the corner which jumps around and I couldn’t find a way to get it. Go down. On the fifth tile down the bridge, go left into the space for an Indigo Oil. On the fifth tile it is also possible to wander over much of the space to the right. I couldn’t find anything. Continue down the bridge until you come to the upper wall of the room. Go right for a Barynium Gel. Continue down. The bed second from the left has a Qwark Bomb. Go right. The single bed has a Qwark Bomb. Continue right and up. When you step onto the bridge red lights start flashing. I could find no significance of this. Go up past the man experimenting on the animals/ human beings and down into the room with 3 Lucis. The bed has a fission bomb. Go back up and left. The next path down leads to a dead end and I could find nothing. Continue left to the end and go down. Brussian appears angry. Starting from the top and working round, the barrels have a total of 2 Aqua lung and 3 Indigo Oils. The chest has 2 Trion and a Kadaboom. Click on the window to the right. A voice asks if you want to leave the platform. If you’re ready, say yes and it’s quest complete.

11. With Petula in the party, click the water’s edge just below the blue barrels for a chest with 37607 gold. Go back towards the boat and then go up and left of Allispira. At the far left, top corner, click on water’s edge with Petula for a chest with Sarah’s Family Gem. Return to Sarah and give it to her; quest complete. You get a Gaia Dust. Return to the very beginning and exit. After sailing some days you land in Kondler. Quest complete; you get a Gaia Dust.

12. The box to the left has a shark meat. To the right, the middle top box has 2 shark meat, the last box a moon fish, the bottom right box has 2 shark meat. Go up; the box on the little ledge to the right has 4 moon fish. At the junction go right to the end; the box has a shark meat. Go down, the box has a moon dew. Return to the junction and go up. Enter the Port House (blue arrow). Starting just north and going anti-clockwise, the chests have 16 gold, Book: Heart of Glass, empty, empty, healing reagent. Kallkhan offers you an old book; it’s another The Storm of the Century. Exit. Cindy can steal 1036 gold from Ajhba’s box. Go up the stairs. Kurahan greets Wendala and gives her a Blood-Slave Dai-Katana. Go up to find Kondler is no ghost town.

13. Enter the green door to find the Chief. He has no information, but says you can explore the island. Go down the stairs and speak to Sargant who asks you to find his cup of tea. It is thought this quest cannot be completed. Go up the ladder for an enchanted potion. Exit the house, go right and enter the Room of Ceremony (1st blue arrow). Click on the red book on the table to get The Mage of St Alkahin. Exit, enter the house with the 2nd blue arrow. Cindy steals 758 gold from the chest. The blue vase in the next room has 2 shark meat. Exit and enter the inn (3rd blue arrow). Cindy can steal 3202 gold and a luck starfish from the chest. There is an emerald powder in the shell on the floor nearby. There is a notice saying Ben Maan is hiring a guard. You can rest if you wish.

14. Enter the house opposite; it’s the Kingdom of Luck at 100g a go. After many attempts you might get 500X per party member, not worth it. I couldn’t find anything down the stairs. Exit. To the left Vardas has a quest for a mithril shield in the iced caves outside Kondler. Go left to the item shop, it’s Ben Maan. When you exit his shop he offers you what turns out to be a Kadaboom for 1000g. His quest has already been completed. Go through to the room at the back; the blue jar bottom right corner has a crystal rain. The right hand shelves at the back have 2 nereid peppers. Go down stairs. Most of the jars give you poison, pox or take HP from you. In the group of 6, the top one has a luna berry, the bottom left one has a muen’de. Exit. To the left Vanoa sells items. The Harpiie offers you a duel against her and some sea dragons. 3 characters are inflicted with sleep immediately; Random beat them with Elf Slaughter. You get Shiina Side-Claws. Behind Odawna is the Trial of Kondler; don’t go there yet. To the left is the armoury. Return to in front of the Chief’s House and exit left.

15. Enter the cave. Go right and at the blue arrow go over to the pillar to get 44 mind crystals. Go down the stairs to meet Abyssal Lamias; they sometimes drop Abyseal Bracelets. Go left to find an Underground Behemouth. For me, Metallist Curse missed every time, so don’t bother, get stuck straight in. There is then a chest with 6203 gold. Go right onto the next screen. Going clockwise, the single ice pillar at the top has an ice powder; next group has an ice powder; at the top (dead end) the middle mushroom has a hero cream; the cave is empty; the single pillar has a mithril drop; a group almost at the right edge has an ice powder; further right a single pillar has an ice powder. The path going down has nothing. Return to the junction and go down.

16. Go left and down; the Lamias are now joined by Translucent Quadri Worms; Lilly, equipped with mega bazooka deals with those. Go down to find a frozen (?) statue. Return and go right for the Behemouth; the chest has a delta shield. Return to the main path, go right and down. Go right for a couple of Lamias; go left for Lamias and a Behemouth who this time is joined by Lamias. The chest has 4606 gold. Go down to the next screen.

17. There is nothing to the left. Go right; the Lamias are now in 3s and the Behemouth in 2s; as usual Random’s Fury sees you through. The right hand chest has a God’s Heaven and 2 Sajcdil Apples, the left one has 5436 gold. Go down and cross the bridge; go left for a crystal pear. Return and go down. Go left for a group with everything in it. Go down and put Brussian in the party. Inspect the shield; you need an ordinary mithril shield to replace it. If you try to take it without Brussian, it’s game over. Go back up; the next cave down only has Lamias; go right and down onto the next screen. Each hole has Quadri-Worms. Go left to clear the holes; return and go right and up under the ledge. Examine the cave; there’s no trace of a route to the airport. Exit.

18. Go left and up 3 sets of steps; the obelisk has no information. Go down 2 sets of steps, right and up the steps. The boat has no information. Go right and down the steps, the obelisk has nothing. Return, go right, up the steps, the pillar has nothing. The plant to the right is an Ajunafras; quest complete. Return, go down 3 sets of steps, inspect the flame, still nothing. Return to the town and give Vardas the mithril shield for an Yveen tear.

19. Go to the top of the town with Luci and Wendala in your party, go through the door at the top to the Trial of Kondler. You need Luci to enter the Trial and Wendala can do something only if she is in the first party. As this makes a very strong team you might want to put one of your weakest characters in as the fourth. The path is linear and you do not have to kill all enemies to get through, you can dodge some if you want. Enemies in order of appearance: Groups of Abyssal Lamias; Aqua Orkus; Groups of Immortal Scorpions; Drak ‘O Zeeb in pairs or singly; pairs or trios of Absolom Invocators (drop Yveen water). The yellow flame gives heroism. At the door a Dalenda, Orkus, Scorpions and Lamias. Metallist Curse the Dalenda and focus on it first; you get a crystal pear. Go into the room but do not touch the flame yet. Check the barrel and Wendala can make a Dividor Spear (relic) from the pieces. Now touch the flame; quest complete. Exit; the Drak ‘O Zeeb regenerate when you leave the screen, so you can level up.

20. You now need to put a total of 15 characters through the Trial to complete it. No character except Random can go through twice. Mix strong and weak characters, so plan carefully. Yveen does not count towards the total. The final enemy is now a trio of Absolom Invocators. All teams must touch the flame. Rewards are: 25000 gold, Tara gets 26HP, Seiman gets 5000XP. At the end of the Trial the reward is 2 Yveen Tears, 5 Omega Budons, 2 Gaia Dust, 10000 gold, but no information about the airport. You can put all your characters through the Trial if you wish, in order to level up. If you do not touch the flame at the end, they can enter again.

21. Luci accepts that there is no information to be had. Return to the beginning and exit. You are now back in Adretana and Luci wants to go straight to the Throne Room. As usual, don’t. Go to the Mage Guild and speak to Jabbur to report the Rare Plant quest; receive 1000 gold. Go to Sandra to collect the quests: ‘Slay Necromogon’ (he’s in Kenezear in the Eastern Lands) receive Kenezear Key; ‘Breath Underwater’ and ‘Slay Gaes’. Go to Baretta’s for another Fighting Machine. When you exit the shop, she offers you Baretta’s Grandiose Box. Continue on down to 1001 Lakes, go left, up and left to come to the Fire Mage’s cave. The barrier to the Gaes cave has been removed.

22. Ancient Gaes drop Gaes Fur or Gaes Ancient Horn. You might want to reload until you get them. Go down all the way until you come to a gaes; to reach it you have to jump off the ledge. Thunder numb it. The chest has a Key of the Hero. Go up and right, across the yellow area, down to the next screen, down and left at the 3-way junction until you come to a golden area and another gaes; the chest has a sajcdili apple. Return to the junction and go up. Follow the path onto the next screen, go down and cross the bridge for the 3rd gaes. The chest has a Talys Root. Quest complete. Cross the bridge, put Petula in the party and equip him for a really tough fight. Coelancathe scales gives him a double hit; you might also consider Orb of Chaos. Click on the water’s edge on the right and he will go after a chest. He must face a Raaku. The chest has Fridgen Mail and Sophruna Helmet. Return to the Fire Mage’s cave and then back to the Mage Guild to report your success.

23. Go to the Fire Guild and speak to Arulea (yellow flame). Ask for the quests ‘Hall of Fire’ and ‘Rainbow Castle’. She will tell you to come back when you’ve chosen a strong party. You may want to wait until later when you have a new piece of equipment. But if you like a challenge, try now. We’ll start with ‘Hall of Fire’. Think of it as a huge, and more difficult, version of Lave Pool and choose your party accordingly. You will be meeting the same elements as in Lava Pool, but in stronger combinations – pairs of Magma Eyes, for example, which may drop a Golden Apple. Metallist Curse will, as so often, be your best friend. When you are ready ask to be taken to the Hall of Fire.

24. When you go through pinch points like the one you see just below you, you will be attacked, usually by Lava Tentacles. Some of the pink lamps give Tara 1HP. Go down and right; the first path down has only fights. Go all the way down the second path down for pink lamps. Return to the junction you passed on the way down; go down and left. The first path branching off down has only fights. Go down the second path, follow it until the junction, go right and down. You will see a flame at the bottom. Protect against sleep if you can. Then go to speak to Bahalul. You first have to fight a pair of Magma Eyes with a Fire Dancer. Then you have Bahalul, a Magma Eye, Lava Tentacle and a Fire Dancer. Metallist Curse Bahalul then use Fury. Rosa’s Iceberg calling or At World’s End have been good up until now, but not here so I substituted Sarah. Pituite Calling inflicted ice jail on Bahalul which was promptly removed by the next hit, so stick with Sunboomer on the first round, then Slasher. Tara equipped with the Braserando does a lot of damage; Xander with Royal Iceberg or Anti-Noma is also useful, but frankly it’s a tough fight whoever is in your team. You get a Lallahuna Cream. Exit and report your success

25. If you want to do the Rainbow Castle quest, you will need around 35 burning ground, which you will have either as imports or as drops from the Lava Pool. If you do not have them, then I suggest you wait until you can buy some (which you will be able to do shortly) or wait until much later in the game when you have another character. You will also need to be able to protect against stone; lava rings, for example, and that Lallahuna Cream you just got fits Tara as armour.

26. You start off meeting Aqua Orkus and a Drak ‘O Zeeb. Go right and down for a chest with an Yveen Water. Return to the entrance and take the left path down. You meet several Snow Men. The fairy only says how cold it is. Go a little right from the path leading up to the fairy; there is a path down which leads to an empty chest. You can circle the rest of the pool to meet a couple of Absolom Invocators. Return towards the fairy, take the path down that is slightly to the left of her. Go down, left and up past the Frozen Oak. At the top is a Holy Water. Go back, right and down. There is an Ancient Gaes; thunder numb it. Its chest has an exo ring. There is another Ancient Gaes over to the left; its chest has a Meladon Helmet.

27. Cross the bridge. You have to defeat a couple of Crystal Oaks. As you cross you are stopped at 3 lights; Tara can touch the first, Petula the second and Askhbar the third. Over the bridge you come to a forest of Frozen Oaks with some Snow Men mixed in; they come at you one at a time, so no problem. Before approaching the Ocean Gaes, protect against stone if you can; inflict heroism and other boosts; this one is a lot tougher than an Ancient Gaes. It has huge HP (around 19000) and hits hard. Use Burning Ground from the beginning, healing as necessary. Quest complete; you get an eschlachaboom and 18500XP. Return and report your success.

28. Go down to the Transports and go first to the Southern Lands and then to the Eastern Lands. With Alexandra in the party, speak to Marian; she gets 4MN. Go right and up (it’s round a little stone pillar) and speak to the guard to be taken to Cantal. Enter the house on the left; Cindy can steal 3000 gold from the chest. Follow the path round and enter the first house on the next row up. Cindy can steal the book The Saint Days with the spell ‘Aura of Benevolence’ from the chest in the top corner. Exit and continue round and up and enter the Town Hall. Cindy can steal 3328 gold and an Evening Gown from the chest. If you want, take the right exit and go into the cave, click on the lamp for some light and then click on the jar. If you defeat the Uh-Mana-Gaar, the village will be destroyed. I left it, but if you want to fight it, use Random’s God’s Blade and have a strong party. Return to the guard and go back down to the main path.

29. Work your way right onto the next screen. A word of explanation if you haven’t played LFI or LFII. In the area ahead you will meet what appear to be dear old ladies; they are not. They do a lot of damage and when defeated they blow up, taking about a third of your HP. You should heal after every encounter and you might need to heal during the fight as well. I suggest your team is Random, Sarah, Wendala and another strong character. Random should thunder numb, Sarah use Sun Boomer and Wendala heal. If you have it, you could equip Sarah with the Psycho Sword which often inflicts them with Mind Disabling – a great help if thunder numb has not worked. You have to be quick to get the menu up for healing after the fight in the entrance section, as there are several Martyrs and they chase you. Both they and the crystal oaks can drop Yveen Tears. You might want to consult the walkthrough for LFI for this section as there were some goodies to be had. I don’t know if they are there for non-import games.

30. Go up and over the bridge, enter the cave. There are Martyrs of Ncromogon in this area. You can dodge around the harmless giant to space them out if they are coming at you in a group. Go up and face 2 Crystal Oaks. Go up and face more Martyrs. There are 2 chests here. If you are new to the game, ignore them; the one to the right is empty, the one to the left explodes taking around 800HP. If you have characters with high enough HP to survive, I suggest you open it on the way out for a crystal rain, rather than spend time now. Go up, the Kenezzear Key unlocks the gate. Deal with the Martyrs. Put Seiman into the party to deal with the trapped chests to the left. The lower one has a Zeon Helmet, the upper a Daghamaen Rod.

31. Speak to Necromogon with Luci in the party. You have to fight him and 2 Martyrs. Metallist Curse seems to miss, so go straight in with Fury; once the Martyrs are down you can switch to God’s Blade or stick to Fury; Sarah: Sun Boomer and then Slasher; Wendala: Striker; Luci: Lord of the Dance. Quest complete. There is a random drop of a nice shield, Twin-Eyes, but it can take a lot of attempts to get it (I needed 9). Go straight through the wall behind Necromogon to the Scorpio Room; the chest at the top has Fomalhaut Mail. The Martyrs will regenerate, so heal up before going back out. Return to the Mage Guild to report your success. Check your items, rest at the Inn if necessary and then go up to the Palace Throne Room.

32. You find Timbany with a message from Djarma of Ultai who says he may have found the 7th Temple. A cut scene with The GC and Kommender. Kommender is now going to act himself. Back to the Throne Room. The party now divides. When you are ready, speak to Walz to go to the Rilla Counter from there you are taken straight to the Ultai Palace. Isolde to the left sells a few items. Put Brussian in your party. Go up to the Inside Court; go immediately right to the Market Room.

33. Cubbanaun collects Cockatrix feathers; Dirladirla sells some items; Philomene offers to take you to the desert for 500g, say no for now. Continue right; Anais will buy any replica Ancient Pyramids you bought in LFII for 2400g. Marmaris wants you to draw a map of the oasis; Besebe says he can tell you where the oasis is for 50g; decline the offer; There is Batabog, now old and tired. There is a blue arrow just below him. Step there and Brussian will find a secret room. The left edge of the left hand bookcase has a Marrow Hood. One book in the bookcase to the right has survived. Go right; the right hand drawer has a Mermaid Potion. Go up, the right hand side of the bookcase has the book The Ugly Cooking. Talk to Martino with Wendala in the party; he will give her +10HP.

34. Return to the Inside Court and go left to the Harem. You can rest free here. Go straight up; Peloponese sells items, including Burning Ground. Just above her Brussian finds a secret room; the chest has an Osiris Ring. Go to the room on the right; Lesline says she was kidnapped from Rillia, Luci promises to speak to Djarma about it. Return to the Inside Court; Zara to the left sells items; Nazota to the right sells equipment. Go to the top right path.

35. Go right into the Apartments. In the top right corner there is a Pyramid of Sultai Map in the rolls. The red chest is locked. Buzemia won’t let you go down the stairs. Return to the Inside Court and go up to the Throne Room. Brussian finds a secret room to your left. Just left of the bottom left cupboard, against the lower wall, is a chest with a Sandstorm Sword. Azzel Zengaris doesn’t want to speak to you. Return to the Throne Room. The chest to the right is locked. Speak to Djarma; he thinks he may have found the GC and joins your party. You can now only choose the 4th member of the party.

36. Equip Timbany with a Tik-Tikoo suit if you have it. For those new to the game, Timbany can switch between big monkey and small monkey; each form has different attributes. Switch to small monkey (which has a ‘steal’ skill). Click locked chest in the throne room, it has an Ultai Jim-Saber. Return to the secret room; Azzel Zengaris will now speak to you. Djarma gains 51HP and 91MP. Go back to the Apartments, Timbany can’t steal from this chest, but the dialogue is revealing. Buzenia now offers to let you through, but Djarma doesn’t want to. Go back to Lesline in the harem, Djarma releases her. Switch Timbany back to big monkey form and sleep at the inn to heal his HP. Now exit the palace.

37. You are taken to the Pyramid of Dai-Jahl. You can return to the Palace for resting at the inn. Go up; you meet Dark Order Knights and a Babaazul, none of which should present much difficulty. You will notice that Djarma is not a strong fighter. Random encounters are with groups of Pyramid Minions, these can inflict a lot of damage on Djarma. If it gets too much, use Random’s Elf Slaughter. Ignore the 3 Knights in front of a gate for the moment. Go left and immediately down, the chest has a Prismatic Armour. Go back up, left, up, left and down. You will meet a Liquid Steel, use Metallist Curse. The chest at the bottom has an Enchanted Potion. Go up the ladder for a Star Dust. Exit the room and go all the way up to the top. The chests are empty. Go right, ignoring the path up for the moment. Go down and past the Babaazul, the chest has an Yveen Egg. Return to the up path.

38. This is a tough fight. You can come back to it later in the game, but it’s worth trying now. Inflict boosts, shields etc., I had Wendala as my 4th member. Go up; you meet a group of 4 (or was it 5?) Babaazul and 2 Gold Spirits. I used Fury and Wendala’s Striker. The chest contains the Ketakeri Blade (ultimate) which is the blade the Arts Guild wants. I hung on to it; it gives 3 hits and is pre-emptive. Return down to the main room. Clean up all enemies to help level up Djarma and Timbany. Return to the entrance area and go up the ladder to the right of the Knights. The sealed jar has 5 Moon Fish, the bottom left hand jar has a Royal Meat. Follow the path right and down. The top right jar of the lower group has a Life Potion; the sealed jar 3 Pyramid Minions. Continue round to a room. The chest in the top corner has a Sajcdil Apple. Go down the stairs.

39. You meet a lot of Liquid Metal, sometimes with 2 Pyramid Minions. Go down and take the top right; you will see crystals blocking your access. Continue right and up, with more crystals. Go to the top; the chest has a Zabo Knife. The scorpions are statues. Go back down. I do not know if it was opening the chest, clicking the scorpions or clicking all the lamps, but the crystals are now gone. Clear out the side rooms. As you go back down, the group from one of the lower rooms comes to meet you. It’s similar to the group in the room with the Ketakeri Blade. Speak to the girl, Valeria and take her with you. Exit this area.

40. Go up past the Babaazul. The chest has an Exp egg. Go up the ladder past the 3 Babaazul. You meet a large group of assorted enemies; Fury deals with them. The bottom jar has a Magickya Energizer. Turn the switch to ‘on’, this opens the gates you saw. Return to the room with the stairs going down. Now go left to the end, then down for a chest with an Aquapanga Flower. Go straight up, the room on the right has a Magicka Potion. Continue up to the top, go right; the first chest has a Holy Water, the one at the end has a Saint Potion. Return left, down and first right. If you inspect the doorway, Djarma warns that there is a ghost. It’s a Cassandra Opti with 2 Pyramid Minions. She can inflict stone, venom, poison and a few other things. Physical attacks seem to have no effect on her, nor does God’s Blade. Use Thunder Implosion, Ultai Saber and Shocker. She drops an Ademia Powder and you get a demon blaster. Go right and down and you are back in the entrance.

41. Go past the 3 Knights and into the black hole to arrive underground. This is an area where consulting the maps in the Official Guide will help a lot. Go down, left, first down, right, slightly up, right and down for a chest with a power salt. With Brussian in your party enter the blue arrow to the right of the chest to go to a room with 6 chests, each with an Exp egg. Go straight up with Brussian in the party and enter at the blue arrow on the left. The building shakes and a giant foot appears. Use Random’s Metallist Curse, then Fury; Djarma’s Ultai Saber; Timbany’s physical and Brussian’s Lethal Move. Now switch Wendala into the party and save again. The grey square gives you the Pyramid Cube and you must face the Vizir Snake. Physical does nothing. Because I fought it several times to get the random drop, in my experience using the item Bazooka inflicts the most damage, much more than fire based items which have been recommended. In the first round Wendala should cast Undead Curse to afflict bleeding. With that and Bazookas, the fight never lasted more than about 3 rounds. The random drop is Vizir Skin.

42. Exit the room. I couldn’t find anything else in this section of the pyramid, but if you want to explore the corridors in the left part of the area, you will get some levelling up exp for Djarma and Timbany. If you do that, switch Timbany to small monkey form; that increases his speed and gives him a pre-emptive rock throw which is useful against the Pyramid Minions. When you have finished, return to this area and go straight up. Go left; at the junction you meet several enemies. Go down the first path for a couple more if you wish. The chest at the end of the top corridor is empty. Take the 2nd path down, left and down for a Life Apple. Return up, right and down. The small hole in the wall to the left has 14 gold. Use the Pyramid Cube to open the door below you. Go down and left. Follow the path left to the end for a chest with a Healing Potion. Go back and right. Continue right and work your way through all the rooms to the end. Return to the first room with a red carpet and go down. Go down to the lower rooms. The chest in the first room is empty, the one in the final room has an In Flame Shield. Return to the room with the book cases. Go left to the black hole in the floor at the end.

43. You are now in the Treasure Room; someone thinks that using the Pyramid was a good idea. Save. As you try to go up you will trigger a boss fight with Vizir-Rham. Use Random’s God’s Blade; Djarma’s Sun Dazzler combo with Kratin which also inflicts defence down; Timbany uses Bazooka; Kratin’s Double-Hit. Go up to meet a group of enemies. The chest to the right has an Exp Egg, the one to the left is empty. Go up past the 3 Knights; quest complete. A cut scene in which you go to the table and Luci reads that they were producing energy for an airport. You go to the back where bricks have been removed and enter a prison. You speak to the prisoners who have been tortured. There is a blinding light and – voila! – the golden armour has merged with Random. They believe that the airport is really in Kondler after all. You return to the palace. Note, getting the golden armour appears to change Random’s skill list, so familiarise yourself with what’s new and what’s missing (e.g. no God’s Blade!). Thunder sword and Thunder chaos both give thunder numb (Thunder Implosion has gone) with added benefits. There are several other changes.

44. Heal at the inn and then go to the Market Room to speak to Philomene to go to the desert. Go right, hugging the top cliff edge for a chest with the book: The Stone Oracle. Return to where you started and from the right hand tip of the boat go absolutely straight down. It’s a really long way, but at the end is a chest with the book: Vana Ancient Times. Return up to the boat and from Philomene, take about 15 or 16 steps left (that does not include any steps down to avoid obstacles); then go down, there is a slight incline, go down for a chest with the book: Shrine of Yveen. Take 10 steps due right of the chest and go straight down (dodge round a rock and return to the same path). You come to 2 trees close together. A few steps north of the circular cactus on the right of the trees your character will suddenly shout ‘Secret Treasure’ and you have found the weapon Aaghamaniym (ultimate).

45. Go back up. A few steps to the left of where you went down for the chest, you will see 3 circular cacti near the cliff. Take a straight line down from the left hand one. You will meet a cliff, go right and return to the line using the cactus as your marker. Continue down for a chest containing the book: Day at the Beach. Go back up.

45. Go left, hugging the top line as much as possible. When you see an L shape on top of the cliff above you, go absolutely straight down (it’s a long way) until you come to a small hill shape on the left with a black hole in the cliff. Enter and you are in the Oasis of Myssary. Circle the central pool anti-clockwise. Aethenia sells some nice equipment; Bokden has made it to here. Djeldoris gives you a quest to clear the pond; you cannot do it now. Buy a large rock for Timbany from Gomadon. Speak to the hydra just to the left for a Hydra Tear. Exit and go straight back up to the L shape.

46. Go left, hugging the cliff edge; it starts curving south, where the curve ends there is a rectangle shape on the cliff top above you. Go straight down; where you have to take steps to one side to avoid an obstacle, take the same number of steps back again to keep the line straight. There is a chest with the book: The Stone Oracle. Go back up. Return to Philomene and exit. Enter the palace, go to the Market Room, speak to Marmis and draw the map for him.

47. Go outside the palace and in your Item list in the menu you will find a new map for the Island of Narmaru. Use it; it will cost you 88 food rations and Isolde sells them if you don’t have enough. When you arrive search behind the cactus that is furthest to the right to find Drai Laccana (Ultimate). Go down, the chest is empty, go down again, that chest is empty too. Go down further and find an Yveen hologram which gives all members 25000XP/Herosim/Weapon Boost. Exit.

48. Outside the palace select Pyramid of Sultai map from your Item list. You need 35 food rations to go there. Go up; there is nothing in the right hand room so go left and down into the room. The chest has a Holy Water. Return to entrance area and go up, right and down into the room; left chest has a Life Apple, the one on the right has an Emerald Powder. There is nothing in the upper room so go left all the way and up; the chest has a Moon Dew. Exit, go down and up the stairs on the right. Go right and up; the chest has the book: Ultai Book of Legends. Exit and go all the way down; the chest on the left has an Aldai Ring. Return to the stairs and go left and left again; the chest has an Exp Egg. Go down, there is a Luck Starfish next to the rolls of carpet. Return to the central area and go up to find 2 Vizir-Rham. Djarma speaks to them and you can pass through. Go up to meet 3 Ancient Guards; go up to the next screen. Go up again; the right chest has a Jim’da Petal and Yveen Water; the top chest has St Fall (Relic) and the left chest has a Sajcdil Apple. Exit the Pyramid. Time to return

49. You are back in Rilla. Aaron Black (aka Kommender) introduces himself. Despite Brussian’s doubts, he is accepted into the party. A cut scene with GC talking to his spy who reports Alexandra’s part in the visit to Kondler. She is now officially doomed. Switch back to Rilla. Return to Adretana. Luci wants to go straight to Kondler so we, of course, are off to Baretta for an Enchanted Shield. If you postponed the 2 quests from the fire guild, now that you have the Ketakeri Blade you should find them a lot easier (see paragraphs 23-27). Go to the Mage Guild, speak to the fairy at the top. Ask for Old Teaching, Geomancy. Djarma can learn it. Ask for New Teaching, Fill the Gap. Djarma receives 5ST/RS. He can also get a boost from Jennifer at the Fighter Guild of HP, ST or SP.

50. Now that you have all members in one place, this would be a good time, if you haven’t already done it, to check through the new equipment you’ve acquired to see who can benefit. If you want to put Aaron through the arena to help reach the required target, now is a good time to level him up. For different reasons, if you have been neglecting Daryl you should level him up a bit as well. Alexandra also needs to be at a high level, say 70+ in normal mode. I’m having to guess what the lower limit is as I have her much higher. Para. 51 and 52 will help her. A word on levelling up for new players. Chapter 13 is tough. Even if you collect all the best equipment, if your levels aren’t high you will crash out. IMO it is less tedious to do smaller sessions frequently rather than leave it to occasional marathons, which will reduce your brain to mush and come too late for some of your characters.

51. Equip Random and Alexandra with Thermo Suit 1.2, put Brussian and Nash in the party as well and head back to Mt. Zulle. When you enter the town, take the first path up to Random’s parents’ old house and go downstairs. Click on the bookcase at the back to enter another Dream. This dream was available earlier, but I’ve held off until now because I think it has a particularly tough fight in it. You start with Alexandra facing a black cube. Change the thermo suit for something more substantial. Daryl doesn’t know how to get in. Click on the left hand side of the cube, around the middle, and Guanidia offers to help, say yes and he wants you to get rid of the Zombies. Use Storm of the Century, as indeed throughout unless you want to use an item. Click the bottom edge of the cube, slightly left of centre, to face a Shark Slaughterer. You are then inside the cube.

52. Random and Wendala are there, but they’re no help. Click the little boxes to the right for a paper with a puzzle. The answers are: summer, spring, autumn, winter. You are now on a path and Guanidia leaves you. Go down. The first cup to the right falls over the edge. Drink the first cup to the left for 3HP and a fight against piranha fish. The next cup to the right gives 3ST and a fight with a dragon razor. Next cup left gives 7MN with a dragon razor and 3 aquatic scorpions. Before clicking on the little fish to the right, save. This is a tough one for Alexandra on her own, and I inflicted armour boost to help. It’s an Infernal Shark. The cup at the bottom gives 2HP and no fight. Agree to go with the mermaid. Quest complete and Alexandra gets 289621XP, which should put her up a few levels. Return to Adretana. Check that you have got all boosts and bonuses (e.g. from Secret Guild) because we are now off.

53. Go Adretana Port and take the boat to Kondler. Speak to the Chief, who still knows nothing. Tour the island once more, but still find nothing. Put any characters through the Trial of Kondler who haven’t done it already. Because Yveen and Djarma don’t count, you can take them through again to support your weaker characters, though with the Ketakeri Blade it’s hardly necessary; Yveen is useful, though, if Random misses with the Invocators as her Blood Cure can deal with the venom they inflict. As well as levelling up, you can also earn decent amounts of gold. Your next trip to Baretta will cost you over half a million if you want everything.

54. When you are ready to leave check Alexandra’s gear to ensure that she is well equipped with something to protect against pox/plague and something pre-emptive. I used Awesome Hat of the Alchemist and Fighting Machine. You can also teach her a healing spell from one of the books if you haven’t already. Rest up at the Inn and take the boat. You are attacked at sea and must defend. The teams are pre-determined. With a few exceptions, which will be mentioned, the enemies you will face are sea dragons, St Helm, Medusas, Temptress, Titanium Anacondas, Magaolon and Metal Legs. You will be given the menu at the beginning and in the middle of your wave of enemies. Defending the middle of the boat: Random, Luci, Askhbar and Petula. Back of the boat: Rosa, Guanidian, Adon and Kratin (one round late). These face a Raaku; use Rosa’s Galomator, Guanidia’s kamikaze, Kratin’s Double-Hit. Head of the boat: Wendala, Brussian, Seiman and Herasia. For the Raaku use Wendala’s Shocker and Brussian’s Lethal Move. Bottom of the boat: Xander, Sarah, Deuterium, Fierce. First an Infernal Shark; Sarah’s Sun Boomer does it. Then 2 Infernal Sharks; Xander’s Gamaeon (I equipped him with Conch of Dreams so I’m not bothered about his MP use) and Sun Boomer. The boat splits and you are on the shore with Alexandra alone. You have no items and no gold. You can rest at the camp fire below you.

55. South of the camp fire, go down the thin sand path round until a couple of steps before the end. Click the water’s edge to the right for a Meladon Helmet. Go back up. Enter the cave above you. There are emerald drakon. Go right and up and inspect the cave at the top. There are 2 Marine Squid and a Dreadful Squid. Go back down; there are a couple more squid to the right. Exit the cave and go right. The chest has a cerulean ring. Continue right; at the very edge of the screen is Guanidia who joins you. Go right onto the next screen and Angelina joins you. You need all the gold you can, so up the slope for a Titan Zeon and possibly a random encounter with Sea Dragons. Back down the slope, ignore the blue arrow for the moment and go right. You find Wendala who has lost all her gear. You can transfer Alexandra’s stuff is you want. I only transferred her weapon and equipped the helmet and ring I found.

56. Now you are 4, go back to the blue arrow. Clear the area (including up the bridge); note the cave at the back but do not go there now. Go back out onto the main path; the chest to the right is empty; inspect the boat, note the conversation but do not use the boat. Go up the bridges for Gold Varandon, Squids and Magaolons. Go back down, left and up at the second blue arrow. Go left for a couple of squid. Go up onto the next screen. If you find the random encounters with 3 Sky Wyrms too difficult, use Wendala’s Shocker, but remember you have no restorative items, so use her MP wisely. Go right and down; you will see Daryl. He replaces Alexandra in the party. Ignore the blue arrow for the moment, but note its location. Go up and bear right of the little bridge and up. Ignore the bridge to your left for now. Continue up onto the next screen. Go left and under the ledge, you might have to wiggle around a bit to find the way through and speak to the Voodoo Goddess. She wants human sacrifice to let them off the island. Fight, and it’s only 3 Gaia Infants. Click the rock down and right, read about Captain Pelle and get a Hydra Mail and a Beon Helmet. Return and go up, right, up the slope, left, up the slope, right, up and circle round to the top to enter the hole into the cave.

57. Go down, there is nothing to the right so continue down. You will be attacked by 4 Lava Squid. Continue down and round to find a xylophone. Daryl can play an emergency tune and Deuterium will come and rescue him. But they need to find something to amplify the sound. As you exit the cave you will be attacked by a group of Zeon and Titan Zeon. Use Wendala’s Shocker on the first round. Go back down to the bridge on the left, cross it and save.

58. Go up the little bridge above you. When you click on the little blue thing you are first faced with Oghmor, Magaolan, Shark Slaughterer and 2 Medusas. Angelina’s multi-hits on Oghmor and Wendala’s Shocker on the first round, with Guanidia and Daryl focussed on the lesser enemies. Second round Shocker again if there are still any minor enemies, multi-hits and you should be through to the second fight. This is a Raaku, Medusa, Magaolon and Temptress. Use Shocker and that’s it. You get the Drukku Ice Mantle (Ultimate). Nash will be pleased. You can, if you wish, go left and follow the blue arrows for a circular tour to meet more enemies. Return to the main path and go back to where Daryl was and the blue arrow I asked you to note. Go up to the very top for a transistor. Daryl can use this. Quest complete. Return to the xylophone. The transistor is rusty and needs cleaning. Back down again

59. Go back to the cave I asked you to note at the beginning. You have now had the complete tour of the island. It was reported that there are healing item, but I’ve never managed to find any. If you’ve gone everywhere that I’ve suggested, you will now have more than the 2500g which you need. Enter the cave and go all the way down. Inspect the bottles to your left. It’s acid. Quest complete. If you’re ready inspect the table to the right and enter Alexandra’s dream.

60. The chest below you has a Crystal Madu. Do not go up. Go down to meet a Cataclysm Messenger and a Cataclysm Apostle. If you’re protected against pox and plague you should be OK but they can do an instant exhaustion. Use Storm of the Century. Save here. Go down and speak to Mamody and fight a vampire who can do instant paralysis. You are transported to the corridor below, next to Brussian. He says he’s not going to show you a secret path, there is a flash of light and blue arrows everywhere. A hooded man claims to be thee GC. The chest has the book: The Art of Healing. A figure like Coryool also claims to be the GC. Guanidia does the same. Don’t speak to Walz yet. The woman next to him offers you the book: The Saint Days for 2500g; buy it. Click the window to the right of the little girl 4 times for a mind crystal each time. When you are ready, speak to Walz and agree to watch the show; quest complete.

61. Return to the xylophone. Quest complete. You are now back in Adretana, Luci wants to go to the Throne Room. First, lets go to Baretta. First item is Barretta’s Special and as you are exiting she offers you the Baretta X-Drill. Leave the shop completely. At the Transport come back for Bajbi’hil Pollen x 2; as you exit she offers you Nautilea Coral. Go back to the Transport and return for Rotten Fruit x 2 and an Algorithim Diamond Helment. Back to the Transport and return for Sanctum Words. Last time back to the Transport and return for 2 Aquannathat Javelins and 3 Magumahar Swords.

62. It is now time to go to the Arena. You must do Yveen and Aaron now, before going to the Throne Room. You are also faced with a strategic choice. If you want to maximise your chances of getting 36 characters through so as to obtain maximum rewards through the bonus level, then you need to put Alexandra in now. If you want her to win, then Lilly must go in first, as her reward from Orchalski is essential gear for Alexandra. On the other hand, it will mean that characters who join you later won’t benefit from Lilly’s 3HP. I chose to put Alexandra through. Rather than describe the tactics, equipment etc., here is the link to the Arena Guide on the forum

The only things I would say about the Arena Guide are (1) note that levels refer to easy mode. If you’re playing in normal mode, then add on. (2) I got Cocka through in normal mode at 71LV; just use Fire Storm throughout and sail through. (3) If you’re having trouble getting Rosa through, wait until 75LV when she learns Prince of Slayers; it takes Linda down in one. (4) Xander’s anti-noma didn’t work on the orc for me, so I used Gamaeon.

63. Go to the Art Guild where Matthais asks for 10 pieces of Equinoa Wood. You can’t do this now. If you have done your levelling up so that everyone is at least at 50, go to the Mage Guild, speak to the fairy at the top, ask for old teaching and then Fusion. Put into your team people who can form couples, and they can learn each others’ spells. Here is a list of combos, there may be others. You haven’t got all the characters yet, but you can come back. The higher the character’s level, the more of their spells they have learned to give to others.

Now pick New Teaching and Combo of Power. Put your teams together where you want characters to have a combo.

64. Now that you’ve levelled up and got extra spells for your characters, we can do the Legendra Tower. Check that all your characters have good stuff equipped as they will all be used, not just your ‘stars’. The Tower has 50 levels; once you’ve entered it you cannot save whenever you like but are offered a chance every few levels; you can heal up or change equipment. NB – check all your characters’ equipment after you’ve first used them (you can’t do it before) because some of them seem to lose weapons and body armour on entering the Tower (e.g. Sarah, Wendala, Angelina); re-equip them and they stay re-equipped. You can leave at any time, but as it costs 10000g to enter, hang on until you’ve at least got your money back. At each level you chose a black or white knight. This, together with the characteristics of that particular level, will determine who is in your team. If you fail a fight you will be sent back minus 10% of your gold. Reload and when you get to that level, try picking the other knight if your defeat was because that team wasn’t strong enough, as distinct from a mistake in your strategy. It is not possible to provide a detailed walkthrough for this. I will only refer to the top level which gives very good equipment.

65. Go to Leni, pick Map Library, Other Places, Tower of Legendra. Click the statue on the right for a War Powder and on the left for a Dragon Blood. As well as drops like magicka potions, you may also get a couple of Nachralis Swords. When you have completed level 50, you go up to the Tower Top. In front of you are 2 shadowy statues. Click on the left one, and keep clicking until you have received: Legendra Shield (relic), Legendra Armor (relic), Lgendra Boots (relic), Galadriel Pendent (relic), Offspring of Divine Interlude (relic), Saint Obole (relic). You will be asked if you want to leave the Tower, answer NO. Now do multiple clicks on the right one to receive: Aa-Ten-Kahu-Fi (relic), Legendra Mail (relic), Gaabal Mantle (relic), Kaos-Landel (relic), Fomalhaut Ring (relic), Taat-Xen Skull (relic). You will be asked if you want to leave the Tower, say No until you are sure that you’ve got everything, then say Yes. If you find that you simply can’t complete the Tower at this stage, there is another chance much later in the game, but it would be better to get that equipment now.

If you look at paragraphs 51 and 52, you'll see that's where I put the Mt Zulle dream. As I explain, I held off doing it until then as it has a tough fight and for people who have not imported, they might not have Alexandra levelled up enough earlier in the game.

Found an extra little tidbit: #33. When you are in the Market, talk to Martino with Wendela in the party. He will give her +10HP. +::Thumbup

Thanks for the walkthrough Littlebro.... its really pretty awesome...
there are things that you missed though... one of those is the mind power in alexandra dream in an island... just click the window 4x in the window on the right hand of the little girl sitting in on the bench.....
second is those pile of chest in the pyramid that you cannot get access to just put brussian in the party and there will be a blue arrow, however if there is no blue arrow... will after you get the cube go all the way down to where the red chest is and the hidden way is just a little steps away from that chest...

I found that In 41, put Brussian when you are at the chest and you will see another blue arrow that takes you down to the chests you mention in 42 that you couldn’t get. They each contain an exp egg.

Thanks for solving the problem in para 41. I've edited the directions in. I've also edited in the mind crystals in para.60. Thanks - I remember getting them, but just forgot to type it up. I suspect that may have happened elesewhere, so if anyone finds anything, let me know.

Ok, here I am facing a problem, it is said that no one can enter the trial twice after touching the flame except Random, so how will every team touch the flame, if they can't enter twice??

I would like to add:

10. In Alexandra dream - there is one more chest in the line of chests. On the same bottom of line. You face 1 Trion and contain Indigo oil 5x. Also empty bed near the experimentator contains some kind of bomb - Tera Bomb.

11. I came back to Sarah to shop again. Bought nothing but she offered me Nachralis Conch for 9000. I did not have enough money... So she gave it to me for free :-)

I know this is a bit late and probably nothing more than an annoying extra but here it goes anyway............lol

Paragraph 52. During the Dream after you have left the room, that had Random and Wendala in it, and of course killed all the opponents including the infernal shark there is one more thing to do. Before you talk to the Mermaid you will want to go back the the cave entrance and say Hello a few times you will hear a moaning sound each time. After a few tries this will initiate a series of fights starting with a Demon (Tatxux) and helper(Mutated Minotaur), then a plethora of Zombies and finally two vampires. Once they are defeated you will hear an explosion sound which usually signifies that it's over with or the area is cleared. Ahh but if you trust Indy to be Indy then go back and check again a few times. Viola! 3 Ghosts decide they don't want you yelling into their cave and confront you about it. Once defeated another explosion sounds this time though it really is over. ( I checked many times just to make sure.) It's not much but extra exp is extra exp +::biggrin

Also for the dream in general just set Alexandra up with high evasion items and it won't be near as tough.

the Items I used are as follows:

Laser Glass (for Pre-Emptive)
Crystal Madu (Evasion +11)
Dream Diadema (+10 Evasion)
Formalhaut Mail (For the Steel Skin)
Dancer's Pinnacle (Haste, +30 Evasion)

With a Sparkling Powder (Lightning Speed) and Mithril Drop (Obsidian Skin) I found that the Shark Slaughterer was a sinch even without Guanidia. ( I had to see if I could do it ::biggrin )

51 Evasion Total, Pre-Emptive, Steel Skin, Obsidian Skin(yes they will stack), Haste and Lightning Speed(again they stack) with Storm of the Century the Girl is pretty Tough for this area. The only thing you have to worry about is her Magic Points as Storm of the Century is expensive with this build. I hope this helps!
