Can Last Heroes be done before you kill the dragon? Does the order depend on the reserve characters too? Does Gravitron count? Tried lots of combinations, no luck. Thanks!

I think it has to be after you kill the dragon because some of them don't join until the Pit of Malice.
I think the order is the order they join.

Just found the witch in the swamp with the Gilmore book. The witch is located behind the tree next to the treasure chest. I waited a while and she suddenly appeared from behind the tree. Below is the detailed instructions.
When you enter the swamp, take the route to the right (the one that was originally broken). Next, you'll need to follow the path and eventually go past the house of the two sisters (who gave you the library map). Next, you'll need to work your way to the middle of screen (you're looking for a bush with purple flowers). Click that, and you'll see a treasure chest and a tree. I inadvertently left my characters sitting there awhile and a noticed a witch walk away from the tree. She has the Gilmore book.

Roy is the one with the broken key in quest 9. I think you have to complete this quest before he remove the "I".

Everyone is bored except Dee and Salome. The woman just keeps saying "you seemed bored...at least you have goals.." Opened books too. What am I missing? Also, have my last heroes (I think) and have tried all different orders. HInt please?

I think this has the be the next to last quest you do because she keeps saying you still have goals. When you have all other quests done, you don't have goals anymore. My guess anyway.

I completed all animal kings (11), actually show 33 of 32 secret rooms, and 38 of 40 quests. No open quests showing. I also have "Last Heroes" and "Treasure of Memories" to do in library. Do you mean those?

Okay, finally done with all the quests... and wondering about this:
Any use for the 12 books?
Related to the empty chest in the center of the library maybe?
