Question: I pressumed that in normal mode there are less Animal Kings to kill like in the previous games. But the first time I played I missed the Shoeking which I found this time and now I've already killed 7 Animal Kings.
Is there an 8th to kill in normal mode?
I noticed a door at the Grand Rift but when I checked it it said the cave is empty. Is that where the 8th Animal King should be?

Edit: never mind - just found out that the Perfect Chopper is an Animal King.

I could not beat the Tyro Rex. I tried several times and no luck. I just continued with the bone trial.

Is this dinosaur an animal king? I do not have a guide and playing from scratch.

Also what kind of reward do you get for defeating the dinosaur?

He's not an Animal King. I bet him with Marine, Bokden, Benoit and Karine (and I forgot to equip Marine ..... ).
As a reward I got Tyrano Meat which gives +999HP and +11HP permanent.

If you beat the Tyrano do you not get to go to the fishbones (where there is a secret room)?

I cannot beat the Legendary Warrior, he is so annoying!

Yes, you do get to the Ivory Cave where the fishbones are. So if you can you should beat the dinosaur.
For the Legendary Warrior you need a little bit of luck. He doesn't have a lot of HP, but he's fast. He evades most of your attacks, but when you manage to hit him he goes down quite fast. Use the Virtuoso Belt.
I had Marine, Benoit, Hirado and Mom in my party.
He might be weak to some spell, but I haven't found one.

Yes you can.
Just a hint - if you want to double promote them all you should level them to 40 because after Crest you only have Abu and Benoit in your team.

That is what I am doing! But the only thing is I cannot promote Dee or Mom at level 20 or double promote them (well Dee since Mom is not level 40 yet) not sure why I cannot promote Dee (in old Church) or then double promote her.

I guess from the other thread Dee or Mom don't get promotions! I wish they did!

Also in normal mode? Because it says I've killed 8 on 8.

ah, you're right, 8 for normal, 9 for hard
