I've gotten the flame power (the little fire icon is in the upper righthand corner) and I follow the green arrows all the way up into a room in the north eastern corner...you enter the room, there is a fire altar in front of you, a long narrow passageway to the right, and at the end of the room is a chest with four green gems around it.

I've opened the chest - and I put Dee in my party so that I could pick up th egems. I can figure out nothing else to do in this room! What do I do next?!?

I don't think that is the right place that you have to go, you have to light some woods in the temple, the arrows shows exactly where you have to go.

I am pretty good at telling where a green triangle tells me to go, and I have followed the green triangles specifically. I also know where the wood is that you're talking about, but when I went to it (in my desperation of trying to figure out what to do next) I couldn't figure out how to light it.

Yes that was my instinct, but I can't! I don't get a hand when I mouse over it, only an arrow, and I can't click on it at all

*edit - never mind. You have to click on the tile in FRONT OF the fire. That really should be fixed for future versions.

Did any gamer find a use for the orb of earth and the orb of water in the temple?

Mayve I should have posted this in the spoiler section.

I haven't found a use for the Orb of Earth, but you need the Orb of Water to enter the secret in the end of the corridor behind where Marine's mom was.

Yes this particular chopper sliced and diced my characters in seconds.

he doesn't slice you if you leave him alone though
