Okay, it's the second time I'm playing the game and since I've missed a lot of sidequests the first time I'm really worried to move on to the Grand Rift now and maybe miss something again.
There are three quests I haven't found a solution for yet: Lost Ghost, White Skin and Hair Potion. Can they still be solved later when I can access the world map again?

Lost Ghost, White Skin and Hair Potion. The Lost Ghost is done when you escort the woman to the abandoned temple. If you take her to where the woman who lost the ghost is before you take her to the abandoned temple, she will complete the quest for you. The White Skin and Hair Potion quests are linked to the Broken Seal quest.

Thank you Dee! So back to a previous save file! Before levelling up! Arrrrrrggggghhhhhhh, these quests that have to be done in a special order drive me nuts!!!!!

Make sure to get the quest for the flower in the rift from the guy in the cellar before heading to the rift. This one quest is the key to completing other quests...

I found that I had to do the rift and bear quests another time because I completed everything, found the cellar and the quest would not activate. +::cry

Totally understand - I was a bit frustrated too especially with the flower quest that was tied to others. I've had to replay the rift/bear quests at least three times because I forgot to do something (like the flower)...I've beat the dinosaur three times now (which isn't fun....). I did miss some quests on the other MM's, but I was able to go back and complete most of them. On this one, since I missed the flower, I was unable to complete several quests and it felt as though I needed to reload a previous game so I could have the satisfaction of completing the quests.


I'm on my way to the sewers now and finally got all the quests complete. But I found this game a bit more linear in a way than the other MM's. In the other MM's I felt I was able to explore more.

I did enjoy the game and it was great to glean insight on what was brewing in Mystock. Can't wait for MM5!!!

Yes, a lot of quests are linked to others, wo when you miss one the frustration is doubled or even tripled.
As for the dinosaur - I don't even try to beat it. I unequip everything so he can kill me very fast. Yes, I lose 10% of my gold, but I want to get into the Ivory Cave cause there's a secret room.

Anyway, congrats for completing all the sidequests! I hope I'll get to that point too! +::biggrin

I, too, find it hard for the quests to be so linear. One of the things I've been enjoying in the MM series is that I can usually explore in a random fashion. I don't have the budget to get the guide, but in this game it feels like it's pretty necessary in order to play the whole thing :(

I don't think like that in the others Millenniums we completed veeeeeery hard quests too, like the Swamp Pimento for the mirror girl in MM1 and to put Abu to sleep in order to enter the JuJu Temple and we didn't had a guide before.

Yet most of them you could complete on your own.
The quests here are harder, DS! And you can miss things much more easily.

The reason for that is part of the plot, so I think it's normal. And I don't think it's harder, we just have to be careful to do the quest in the right time.

I think the fact that you have to do everything at the right time and that missing one quest means missing others too is what makes it harder.

I agree too. It was a bit frustrating going through the rift/bear scenario several times because I had did not activate a specific quest at the right time.

Well, I'm going to put in my two cents worth. The quests are harder in that if you don't have a guide you almost don't get them, unless you ask someone for help. Not everyone can afford a guide.
Also, why is it that whenever anyone gives an opinion about one of Indy's games and it isn't something in the order of saying the game is perfect, that people have to come on and disqualify other peoples opinions? It should be taken as positive criticism. It's getting to the point that people are afraid of posting their opinions unless those opinions are doing nothing short of praising everything about the game and the maker. Indy isn't a god and his games aren't perfect.
To be honest I was very disappointed in this chapter. Half of it was dialogue. I like a good story but when I play a game,
that''s what I want to do - play a game. Not read a book. The game was much shorter and I know this for a fact because I
didn't play it any differently than I have the last 3 MMs and I finished this one in a days time. I have never achieved that
in the past with any of Indy's games. Third, I didn't like the way the quests were set up.
Now in all fairness if you take out all that extra dialogue that wasn't necessary and allowed us to go back and finish side quests the basic game would be good.

And please don't try to negate my opinion because it's just that. An opinion. My feelings on the game and my feelings
are valid and worthwhile to me and maybe to some one else but that isn't any of my concern.

BTW - I'm not trying to be rude to Indy, but I'm aggravated at the fact that anyone who has expressed a disappointment has been told their opinion isn't correct either directly or indirectly. We are the people who play your games. If many of us agree on the same things then it should be looked at as maybe something that should be changed the next go around. I know several other game makers that appreciate both the good and bad opinions and use them to improve upon their games.
