The guard? Ah, didn't try out anything yet and didn't read the other solutions. I only read this one accidentally. I didn't look at Dee's quote and thought she was going to say something about the chests mentioned in the previous post.

Okay, I read the guard method now, but no guard is giving me a hint. There's only that one that says the castle has been built long ago.
Maybe I need a more interested new party member to ask when exactly?

its the guard on the second floor, directly left of the stairs, just keep talking to him i guess
