maybe we do not need the inferno orb, maybe we need all the other orbs... little bro, if you get there before me, you know the orb where you have to trade two to get? (in the monastery) why dont you try to give him the inferno orb and the fake zander orb? maybe having all the real ones does something?

There is another possibility.
By now when we see an altar we ignore it until we have the orb because we 'know' that without one we get nothing. Well, suppose, knowing what our assumption will be by now, this altar is the reverse? What would happen if we gained access to it before finding the orb of Inferno? Nothing lost by trying.

i went there before the orb but it said that we need the orb of inferno..hm..maybe it is character connected, or skill connected?the guardian said that there is nothing he can do..but who can do it?

Ah, another theory bites the dust.
I keep coming back to the suspicious way that this orb is out in plain sight. Perhaps it is just a tease after all? Still, I shan't stop trying to find a way.

Perhaps kronos is on to something with his question about who else might be able to do something. The obvious candidates would be people who use a 'mini-inferno', that is those who forge weapons. There are 2, one in the Lost Continent, the other in Crystalia. It might be worth checking them out. The only other person I can think of offhand who specifically talks about a flame is the trader in the Traditional Shop (don't think the monk with the green flame counts for this - though I could be wrong).
