. I think the secret is to go with the princess Lo in the old Wittland altar at right of Suul village. After that I went to the altar of Anaharan, I prayed and nothing happened, and then I tried again and I was successful, and told me I was lucky.

And to think that we spent so much time trying complicated things! It was a real face palm moment when I did it.

1)After completing Q24 talk to Faruk.He is happy and he gives you 2000 to show his support.(only 2000?Some prince he is!)I had Melusine and she got insulted and competitive.So,to show how much more superior and rich she is,she gives you another 2100!
.I don't know,maybe because by that time in the game you already have a decent amount of money(even before the Horizon island),i considered it pretty stingy of them. 
2)After Q28 talk to the giant again.He opens the present and doesn't like the stupid skull,so he gives it to you.It's a Kahukulu!

Oh and yes, you can pick Jasmine and stick to her all throughout the game. It is recommended you give her 3 friends to partner with though.
Good thing is, one of them can be Barbara!!
