Would like some advice on where the best place is to get some cash in the game? You'd think there was a recession or something with how little money you get from fighting. No wonder there are so many thieves.

I backtracked to an earlier save file from Zander because I really want that Captain's Sword. At this point I've defeated Azutura, have the Book of Legends, have picked my school and am just trying to get some cash.

The Captain Sword is very expensive, it's probably why you are lacking cash. ^^
Thieves themselves usually are good at dropping gold.

And then there's something else, but I forgot the name. Also very expensive though!

I guess I'll just have to keep plugging away and saving my "pennies" for that Captain's Sword. And at least I'm leveling up my various characters pretty well...glad you weren't so frugal with the experience points.

Okay, it's not as bad as I was making it out to be. I had it stuck in my head that the Captain's Sword was double the cost (don't know why) and I went back by Izuka where there are more thieves and less creature encounters. Sorry!

At that point in the game fighting around in Recife Bay is your best bet for stocking cash as there are plenty of thieves around. However, if you want to level up some characters too then the House of Fear could be a nice place as the monsters are tougher and you can sell the excess items they drop!
@Cassiopeia: you must mean the Scarlet Rod!

@Enso, yes, I think that's it. A Rod it was for sure! About 9000G or so.

That's true! Especially at the beginning they're leveling up quite fast and it's so nice that the non active members gain XP too!
