I think this quest is timed or I didn't speak to crystal before swapping globes. Anyway she is in Kutika and she won't leave. I have tried leaving and returning several times but no luck.She will not appear in the Temple.
Can anyone tell me what the reward is please. I shall give up but it will drive me crazy not to know what I have missed.

Not quite. If you speak to Ibarakabe the painter a couple of times in the throne room he will give you a Muscle Stretcher - not the most exciting reward, but better than nothing.

Well, I know I've talked to Crystal everytime I saw her somewhere (first with the Wittaland party and then with Jordan's as well) and she constantly moved on. It worked for me both times I've played so far, but others don't seem to get her to move away from Kutika. +::Dunno
