Ive literally slaughtered thousands of cats wandering around the first floor. I cant find stairs or anything anywhere.

There is only one floor. To complete:

I read the instructions posted by littleboy, but I am still stumped. I found the map off to the side and an area with light colored walls. Is this what he meant? If so, I cannot find any stairs anywhere. Can anyone be more specific? Is this the area with the woman staring at the hole in the wall?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I feel SO stupid.

Not only do I feel SO stupid. I am stupid. Never mind. I was on the wrong side of the hotel. And, for some reason, I totally missed the map in the guide.
