Ahhhhh, and this just makes me notice that I've used Teksab in a fight against Cassandra. Can this be the trigger that his picture without the basked shows up in the end?
I remember him saying something like that I wouldn't have thought that an old man like him would be such a good fighter.

if he said that, then maybe its his kill count... (mine was quite low and i didnt get it... i didnt put him up against cassandra, but i did put him up against one of the big demons she summons, and the fight right before her 2nd fight, and a few more (i think))

Once Yu got leveled up and got some better equipment, he got some pretty good spells and became much more useful. My vote would be for Barbara, Barbara, Barbara and did I mention Barbara?
My top four would be
Barbara with the Mortel and Slaughterer's gauntlet. Yikes, what a girl!
Melusine because she can fight and has great spells
Alex really stepped up once she had good equipment and leveled up
Nagam or Luis, both of whom had great battle skills
