Secret Chamber Map

In case others get as confused as I did - here's a map of the Secret Chamber with all the switches.

And here's the same map but it shows the order of how to activate the switches.

Attention!
Spoiler: show
Switch #1 unlocks the chest. You have turn it off again in order to proceed.
The switches not marked either won't budge or lock you in.

You're a lifesaver, Cassie. I play story mode specifically to avoid this kind of boring, mindless puzzle. I was surprised to see that in story mode there was no way to avoid it, or at least a few clues provided on how to get through it. The tedium of trudging back and forth, over and over, fighting and fighting and fighting while backtracking and backtracking and backtracking has me ripping my hair out. Like the energizer bunny, you keep going and going until you run out of mana, lifepoints, and finally potions - - and you still aren't any further in the game. IMO, including this in a game is just an exercise in frustration. I've been in this same area for over 7 hours now and it long ago ceased to be an enjoyable game.

I will follow your map and see if I can get out of this area while I still have hair. Thanks again.

You're welcome, but it's only the very last part of the dungeon.
I have to agree though, that final dungeon was a bit too big for my liking too and at some point I had to stop for a while or I would have smashed my computer. +::biggrin

Now I'm REALLY confused. I went back to an earlier save and started this part all over again. Based on your map, I flipped switch #1. Once you do that, it raises spikes right at the top of the central hallway running vertically the length of the first room (the one with skeleton statues on either side). With those spikes up, I can find no way to get to switch #2. ?????

Edit: OK, I flipped switch #1 ON, then OFF, then switched #2 thru #5 on only. That worked, I am in the upper room. JEEEEEEEZ!

To be honest, I don't remember turning the switch off again - but perhaps that meant that I missed the chest.

EDIT
Just re-done it. Flick the switch, go and collect the chest on the left hand edge of the map; return and flick the switch again.
