The Gatekeeper is weak to Fire and Light, so Ezra's magic might help. If Leonardo has the Phoenix Claws, which are Fire-elemental, they may also deal significant damage. If you bought the ultimate skills from Elder Methuselah, they may also help.

Jessica's Empowering Force will increase your damage. Combined with Maximus' Charged attacks, this is very effective. Don't forget accessories like the Battle Scarf and Megalodon Tooth, which will contribute to the damage you're dealing.

Don't use the skull/bone equipment you had the chance to buy before the fight, or the Opal Crystals (that's all meant for the following boss); it actually lowers your stats. If you're using it, this may be why you're having a hard time.

thank you Jeremy,
Where will I find Methusela?
I haven't been able to find him yet.
Been looking for him all over
It sounds like I might have gone to Faust's Mansion too early?
Also, where will I find the Panacea Root needed to cure poor ole Granny? +::sos

The Elder Methuselah side quest is optional, and not mandatory in order to complete Faust's Mansion; it just helps.

First, you have to talk to someone in Fauston who mentions Elder Methuselah. Then use Vulcan to view the world map. Go all the way right, as far as you can, and walk straight up. Between Mesomia and Behgar, you'll be asked if you want to investigate something mysterious. Do so, and you'll meet Elder Methuselah.

The Panacea Root is dropped by the enemy Tartarus Trunk 100% of the time, but this enemy is very powerful and not exactly common. It appears in the Heights of Nadir near the end of Behgar Island, as well as...
Spoiler: show
...in the giant tree near the end of the Elemental Shrine, two at a time.

You get the Phoenix Claw in the Mirror Maze by
Spoiler: show
standing in front of the big mirror with just Leonardo in the party.

Specifically, what problem are you having with the Gatekeeper? What seems to be your weak point? I'd like to help as much as I can.

Jeremy,
I had seen , you spoke earlier about the "Castle in the Sky"
I am in Central Behgar now. Does it open up later than this, or did I miss something?

Hi Jeremy

I really love this game. I will give complete feedback when I have finished.Given the amount of time and effort and talent you have put in it is the very least I can do.
Hope you are working on another game.
