Speaking of items in the inventory, I'm standing in the middle of the House of War Memories, blowing away on that stupid flute, and the only thing that's happening is it's making me miss the swamps in Millenium. What am I doing wrong???

You have to stand immediately in front of the NPC at the back, i.e. to the north of the square area.

Actually you can stand anywhere (like in the corners for instance) BUT exactly in the middle. It's a bit confusing that it says "in the middle".

Hi, I don't know if it was mentioned before but I found the use for Stardust's old notebook, it can be use to freed the elfen ghost in oracle shrine.
And then the ghost will offer riches or fulfillment.
