So are you supposed to finish all the other islands and optional bosses before you go into the cubes or what?

Well, you can get out of the cubes again and finish stuff that you've left undone, but you'll end up without restoratives because the cubes destroy all your food when you enter them.
There are some pretty tough battles on the islands and you might need your restoratives, so it's recommendable to finish everything before the cubes.

Thank you again for the help I just have the tarku god left. I feel like such a noob because I can't finish one of the flower quests because I got banned from the pirate island such a loser

Banned? How come? I don't remember anymore what was there.
Also, don't worry if you missed stuff. That usually happens in the first playthrough.

I think I got banned because I got caught too many times But I wish I could still get there because one of the items you need to complete one of the flower charm quests.

Oh, I know now what you mean! I didn't know you can get banned there, lol!
Best thing is to save before you enter, and if you get caught rather restart. Also, when I got an item I'd rather leave the place, save and then go back for more. That way you don't have to do all the chests all over again if you do get caught.

Yeah I know but I didn't think about it then and now it is too late, So I guess I'll just have to play again until I get it right
