Do they have to have certain equiptment to get these skills because I know I had it on katie before but now it is gone and I have tried changing equiptment around but can't seem to get it again. Same with nestor's expose skill. help please

I just checked out my saves. Katie's Predator is there until the end.
Nestor's Expose, however, isn't. It's definitely not related to equipment, so I have no clue why he loses that spell later in the game.

Then I don't get it what happened to their skills. This is very frustrating.

Well, those skills are not really necessary to finish the game.
Expose is a combination skill for Nestor and .... the first wolf (I always called him Eli, so not sure what his original name was). In the cubes they are not together anyway.
And Katie's skill is just some healing skill, right? You have other characters that can heal, and I personally had Katie attack as much as possible. She did the most damage, so I wouldn't use her for healing much anyway.

I know but I was thinking about the skills for the fight with tarku god. I saw something on the ensorcelled sight that I was going to try but oh well I guess not.

I'm sorry. I guess only Indy and Enso can tell what's going on here and if it's intended that the spell(s) vanish.
But for the Tarku God you can use someone else to heal. I don't remember who can heal, but think I do remember that one of the other animals is a more effective healer anyway.
I also don't remember who I fought that enemy with, but Nestor might not be the best choice anyway. You could try with Katie, the two wolves and a healer. The wolves are much stronger than Nestor.
