Whoever it is, he didn't want to follow Marine into dangerous territory.
What else can we surmise?
- He's willing to kill for money
- Money is important to him. I don't know the going rate for spy jobs, but 2000G for three days of relatively low-risk spying seems a bit pricey. Sure it doesn't mean much to the Mystrock government (would it come out of the "petty cash" fund?), but for a peasant, that's a lot of money. What does he plan to do with it?
- He's part of the Mystrock underground "community." Who else is a member?
- Now that he's unemployed, why would he join Marine's group? It's not for money, certainly. We didn't see any indication that Borgon hired him to sabotage the showdown by whatever means. If the spy isn't one of Marine's recruits, this person could be the mysterious new female character.
