It's a measurement which is not longer in use, originally used for grain and fruit.
It is that volume of grain/fruit which would fill a container which holds 8 gallons - so a lot!!

At the risk of being a genuine party-pooper, can't say that 8 gallons of kittens turns me on. Can I pass on this one?

And, we still use bushels in the US. A lot of the reports of crop yields are in bushels, and it's not uncommon to see bushels of something for sale at local farmer's markets.

I have even seen bushel baskets with kittens instead, but not full up

(Also outside the farmer's markets with a sign saying "free". One smart person was giving out free disposable litter boxes with those same free kittens.)

I basically shrunk my edits of the default RMXP cat. AND THEY TURNED INTO KITTENS!!!!
