I sailed the ship after forming my new party - landed on mainland with all the bridges from place to place and cannot get back to the boat - will only let me go forward not back

I'm not sure what you mean by not coming back to the boat. Do you click on it when still standing on the land?

Is there some way to post a screenshot so I can tell you what I am talking about?

Can someone please tell me how to get past Garuda? I have started the game on easy and my characters are levels 15-16 (all upgraded weapons etc) but I still can't seem to beat it and I have tried so many times that I am really wanting to just give up.

Water, ice and thunder spells are what worked for me, especially water. Don't know about levels because I played on 'normal', but I would have thought you're probably high enough for 'easy'

I have the same problem. After defeating Milady in Hendo I cannot go back on the boat. I did click on it while standing on land. It doesn't work.

This may be irrelevant, but I never clicked on it to get aboard, I just walked straight on. I only had to click to get off.

It seems like it could work, after all the boat is the same for all players... also please specify if you're playing with the mouse ON or OFF.

When I go to paste it is greyed out

Did you land the boat below the city??
If you did,you should load a previous game and land the boat somewhere above the city.

I was trying to avoid that as I overwrote the most recent save with the save that stalled my progress

So,where did you land the boat??
