Yes I confirm it's a game for RPG lovers (aren't we all here? ^^).

It is however extremely weird that neither 3 Stars NOR Laxius Force work at all...
Maybe the technicals will be able to help... but this is the first time I hear about such problem.
If both Aveyond games load fine, it is even stranger, because all 4 games were built in a similar way using the same engine.

Could this not be what I mentioned this morning Damien?

Someone told me than for some vista computers dep (data execution prevention) option needs to be enabled - I'm not sure if this could be preventing yours since some games do work but it might be worth a try.

No nothing helped from the site either. I tried the fixes that the site suggested but it didn't help. I did notice that it is for vista 64 bit, but I have the 32 bit. I run a software program on my computer that doesn't work with the 64 bit so I have to have the 32 as of now. Does this make a difference?

Its possible. There are quite a few games made with RPG Maker VX that, most ironically, do not work with certain version of Vista. Eternal Eden had a big problem with this, I don't know if it's patched yet or not, as I stubbornly cling to XP.

Again Eternal Eden as downloaded form Aldorlea works on my Vista so maybe it is worth trying the download from www.aldorlea.com and seeing for your vista version?

I am looking into it dc6289 and trying to find solutions for you.

I think it's native to the 32 bit variant of Vista, though I don't know for sure. I do know not everyone running Vista has problems with RPG Maker games due to differences in system setup. I've never had problems running things on my parents' Vista computers, but I've only tried a couple older games on them since I do most of my gaming on my personal machine, and I still use XP.

I could open the Eternal Eden game but it stops playing at the snake fight, with the same error. I noticed a lot of people had that same error. I am waiting to see if there was fixes for it.

The odd thing is that while a lot of people get the EE error, most people are able to play at least one of my games (most can play both thankfully lol but the occurance of not being able to play any is strange to say the least...

)

right click on the game icon , properties and under compatibility, choose a previous version of windows. click apply, ok. now start the game

try and see if it works on one of your friends pc which doesn't have vista. if it does work, then the problem is in the vista. it works well in 7 and xp

I have Windows Vista too and the member who suggested fixing the data execution prevention parameter was correct. I put 3Stars as an exemption to this Windows feature and it plays just fine. Thanks to the poster!
