I m in the well going to rescue the boy there is a door that is locked its got stairs going down the door is in acorner above this switche im trying to figure out how to open it

You can't access that door at this stage of the game. It becomes available later in an area where over time you find a succession of keys.

No, you can do it in any mode, but you must have the key and you cannot get it yet. So leave it for now and move on with the game.

where do you get the key from because I got the keys for all the lock chest but never could unlock that door in movlen well

I would also like to know where this key is because I never got it. I also never received the Mother's Key before the end of the game either.

My bad - I was answering this from memory instead of from my notes and I mixed it up with the others.
