OK... i've lived through the mines, and have come to Everdusk... for the 2nd time, i think. The cut scene had them purging the village and now everything has been torched. I've found the old woman in one of the houses that can't understand why it's so dark outside. I can't seem to locate anything/anyone else, can't find Rowan, and can't get out of the village! what am i missing??

This is a bit late, but I just finished that part of the game. I had to visit several houses (but I never encountered the lady you mentioned) until I finally triggered an event with one of the characters saying something like, "How could this have happened?" as the party exited the house.

I then went to the village entrance and found Rowan there. I hope this helps others playing this game rather late in it's release life.
