I never tried any of the goodies. Don't know, I prefer to play the game the way it was set up.

But then you also missed the other great characters. That's a pity!

Yes, totally agreed on the latter.

On the former, well I created the game also with the intention of adding goodies. + ;)

Well, maybe at some point I'll try one. But first I want to play all schools the normal way. Still missing one.

Yes playing the normal way is of course great. Best use the goodies AFTER this.

I need a little TBOL break now though. +::lol
I could play it asleep now and I want to forget the details. It's not the same when there's nothing to explore and you just rush through the game.
Also, no exploring means more grinding cause you just don't level as fast.

When I master a game, I try things like playing through it as fast as possible without getting killed a single time or something. +::biggrin

One of my techniques on a replay is to see if I can get through without having to buy any items, i.e. to survive on what I find. I can often do it - but never in an LF game.

Yes that's also an interesting way of playing. :)

I have done it in a couple of games - that relied on the fact that it was a replay and so I knew about what weapons and gear could be found, or given as rewards in quests/battles. Very careful planning (and perhaps a bit of extra levelling up) is needed, and it simply doesn't work for LF. For example, the need to have a plague-inflicting weapon for beating the phoenix - as far as I remember there is no alternative to buying one. What's also needed is strategy in battle. You are much more reliant on spells than if you have the +50 Infinity Sword which wipes out 63 enemies in one blow. But that also requires careful management of MP healing resources. So yeah, it makes for an interesting challenge.

Well, I've never tried that because I love using different weapons and taking advantage of their properties.

I've never tried playing my games (or a game for that matter) without purchasing anything.

I'm always trying to buy as few restoratives as possible though cause I rather spend my money on weapons and gears and almost always at the beginning I'm always short on money.
