Trouble with Quest #11

Hmmmmmm.
We're talking about the log to the left of the wooden door in the forest, right?
When you're at the correct log and nothing happens, then maybe you didn't trigger the quest (from the father who wants you to retrieve his stolen gold, but leave his daughter with the thieves :-P ).

If you are at the correct log you will get the text
"You notice a switch inside the log"

If you did not pick up the quest, it will then say
"No matter what you do, the switch will not move."

if you clicked the left end of log and nothing...no comments...try going to the door anyway. You may have unlocked it without knowing it. Once the switch was been activated, there is no comment at the log at all

there shouldn't be no text. What you should get is:
"You press it hard and hear a click,
like a lock turning".


Hmm, unless this is one of the things Indy changed.

Well, I could be totally wrong, my old brain doesn't work so well anymore. But I believe I remember ...

are for a couple of chests in secret rooms near the end.

Perhaps when someone reading this does that quest, s/he could let us know for sure.

Here is the message I get:

You notice a switch inside the Log - Click on the Log
No matter what you do the switch will not move

Well, according to what Kes said, that's the dialog that will come up wheh you haven't triggered the quest.
Check your quest items. Is there a note about Q11?

It says Quest 11 Complete

It does? Oh. Hm. Is the quest with the thieves really Q11 then?
Just to make sure: The thieves quest is the one you got from that wealthy guy in the big house that's located on the world map. His daughter ran away with his money and he wants you to retrieve the money, but not the daughter.

Quest 11 - talk to the man in Hartoft Hall ( the place at bottom of screen overworld - you get 2 quests 11 and 14 but 14 only if you complete 11- hope that helps
