Neat game so far though I've already run into a CTD in the second area?

One of my characters is poisoned but when I try to give an item to cure her it doesn't work. Is this supposed to happen?

I love the graphical style! Very old-school. So nice to see something different from the "norm".

Of course, the artwork is also very nice.

There seem to be very few pizza slices or meaty chucks the further you go. I've started again but am having the same problem with the new team. I'm in normal mode.

There is also the method of winning battles without losing too much HP, because each battle won restores 10HP to all your characters. There is a cop in the first world that lets you know about this.
Some characters are also able to heal.

No but the "sleep room" is basically what the healing cops do.
Although as the game specify it, you get a bigger ending reward if you never use them.

As last resort you can always use the healing cops, yup.

Also in general, try to empty any food store ahaha.

In my 1st team I've got Ralph, John & Katia? normal mode. In the 2nd team Phil, Martin & Joy alternating with Cookie.
Any suggestions are welcome! I've been checking everything that I can. Love the characters and the accessories (iPhone).

Check everything (crates, bins etc.).
Play Easy mode, learn how the game works, then come back for Normal.

In answer to alternate, I changed Joy for Cookie in the party. I just got the same CTD error in the same area as the other player and I re downloaded from the link you put up and got it again just now. I think it might have something to do with the party members as I noticed from the screen shot that Martin & Joy seem to be there; I had no problem with my 1st team (Ralph, John & Katia).

Oh, I see. But I did finish the game with both Martin and Joy. Anyway, feel free to send me your savefile for a fix.

No need to, I'm uploading a version that will patch this part automatically.
But to be honest, I don't understand what's going, since for me it works perfectly.
It reminds me of a similar situation I'd had back then with Laxius Force 3. Apparently the game doesn't behave like it should (like it does with me, at least). In LF3 faces were dynamically changed but some players (don't remember if it was all) were never getting those changes, resulting in a stupid CTD. Seems to be the same thing here.
