I can't find Quiroth in Swaffon to get the quest and when I speak to Jazzain in Nesson she says she is upset and that's all--am I missing something?

For Quiroth
Go into the armory (on the right side of the map). There is a doorway leading down on the right side. Go through there and you'll find him working. But if you are in Neston, then it is too late to pick up this quest, you'll have to get it on a replay.

for Jezzrain, you need to have collected Asterie from the pub first. Do you have her in your party?

Yes, I do. Jezzarain just says she is upset and asks us to leave her house. Is the quest time sensitive?

Where exactly in the game are you? Have you left that area of the world map and got as far as, for example, Welgarth?

I'm at the second shrine...the one with the lava.
