Military Quarter guard

I can't seem to get past the guard to the Military Quarter in Berwen. I have tried coming at him at an angle or even a wiggle to slide by. I know that he says to pass on his right side but am unable to get past him. Help!!!!!!!!!

Not sure how I did it but I finally was able to slide by. Now on to continue the story.

You pass by walking between him and the lower wall i.e. on his right side.

Me too I was stuck, I exit and come in again in Berwen and I did it.
