This game will be a bit different from my usual style with a focus on strategy.
It will however feature, as per my usual this time, an epic quest in a vast world.
You'll be able to play up to 80 different characters!!!

More info coming soon and, I hope, the game for April, no less. +::biggrin +::biggrin +::biggrin

That tower looks cool!
Focus on strategy - in what way?
And what do the flags on the world map mean?
What's the name of the game? (Like he'd tell us, lol ....)

Thank you! +::biggrin

Hmm it's hard to explain with just words, but basically you need to defeat a series of waves of monsters, and for each fight you can choose a "General" to go up against them, depending on who matches the best, who is not too injured etc.

And what do the flags on the world map mean?

Blue flag is yours, it means the place you've conquered. +::wizard
The purpose of the game is to unite the world.

What's the name of the game? (Like he'd tell us, lol ....)

Y...AWE

Initials, now take a guess +::biggrin +::biggrin +::biggrin

Let's see if I got this right. We won't fight single monsters as usual, but each of those black thingies on that world map contains a wave of monsters like in a colliseum for instance, and by defeating them we conquer a place?
Or does every flag lead to a new screen and the blackies are sth different?

Well that sounds interesting.

Spot on!

Or does every flag lead to a new screen and the blackies are sth different?

Blue flag are yours, red flag means towns and minor castles (but enemy ones), red flag means dangerous castle, red-eyed black thingy means dangerous boss in nature, and yellow-eyed ones means fight in nature.

Errrrr .... what do the dots mean?

The dots represent... dots  +::lol

Then fighting will be completely differnet in this game. That's cool because it will be some change from the usual we-kill-monsters-as-we-move-along. Not that this is bad, but something new will be interesting.

So it's up to us where to go first. Nice.
And will there be a chance to level up or is every monster gone once it's been defeated?

Indinera wrote:The dots represent... dots

Well, I wasn't sure if they are in the title too or if you've left an empty space to fill.
Y...AWE
Is the Y a word or a name? I supposed the A is just "a"?

That's what makes it strategic. You win only if you defeat all the waves. Otherwise you need to start over (you get to keep the XP from the waves you did manage to kill though).

Yup. In general, in a new area, yellow-eyed monsters and green flags should be visited first.
It will be all explained in the guide lol

In easier mode you can return to a conquered place and grind, should you want to do so.

All 4 initials represent words, not a single letter or a name.

Ah, so if I lose the series of fights, I still get to keep the XP? Guess that's a way of grinding too, then.

Indinera wrote:It will be all explained in the guide lol

I never get a guide. I'd think it will be understandable without though ....

Indinera wrote:In easier mode you can return to a conquered place and grind, should you want to do so.

What modes are there? What's "easier"? All I need is normal mode, lol.

Well "a" is a word too, right?
Hm, what can the Y stand for?
Yesterday?

It is, but it would be dangerous not to allow to keep XP. However, you get a better rating at the end of the game if you never have to start over.

In the sample I put the instructions I consider should be available for all, like how to play the game.

Easier, normal, hard, maniac

Yesterday is wrong :)

Quite incentive! Well, but the perfectionist in me certainly wouldn't let me lose fights anyway. I'd rather start over from a previous save file than lose.
Btw - can we save anywhere?

Indinera wrote:Easier, normal, hard, maniac

Okay, then since you said we can grind at easier mode, I guess I'll have to do without.

Indinera wrote:Yesterday is wrong

Any hint? How many letters?

Yeah I know but I don't want to punish too much losing. I don't want to create obsessional players lol
However it should logically affect the ending rating.

Yes but once in a wave, you can't.
However the Auto-Save does it for you, every fight in Easy, every 5 in Normal.
With Easy you can retry each time you made an unfortunate choice, so it's a great choice for beginners. It helps them master the game.

You can grind, too, by trying to go as far as possible in a wave, lose, and retry. It's not much different, but it affects the rating of course.

Any hint? How many letters?

Y--... A-- W-- E---?

Now you have a LOT of hints ^^

It's important to be able to save before the fight, then I can restart as many times as necessary to meet my own (obsessional) expectations.

That's what I meant when I said it's also a way of grinding. But I'm not gonna do it because I can't spoil my ending. No way!

Indinera wrote:Y--... A-- W-- E---?

Ah, so it's a question.
Hm, 3 letter words with Y. Can't think of any but you and yay and yup. Lol
