Yay, a new game!
That tower looks cool!
Focus on strategy - in what way?
And what do the flags on the world map mean?
What's the name of the game? (Like he'd tell us, lol ....)
Indinera wrote:Hmm it's hard to explain with just words, but basically you need to defeat a series of waves of monsters, and for each fight you can choose a "General" to go up against them, depending on who matches the best, who is not too injured etc.

Let's see if I got this right. We won't fight single monsters as usual, but each of those black thingies on that world map contains a wave of monsters like in a colliseum for instance, and by defeating them we conquer a place?
Errrrr .... what do the dots mean?
Indinera wrote:Spot on!
Indinera wrote:Blue flag are yours, red flag means towns and minor castles (but enemy ones), red flag means dangerous castle, red-eyed black thingy means dangerous boss in nature, and yellow-eyed ones means fight in nature.

Then fighting will be completely differnet in this game. That's cool because it will be some change from the usual we-kill-monsters-as-we-move-along. Not that this is bad, but something new will be interesting.
So it's up to us where to go first. Nice.
And will there be a chance to level up or is every monster gone once it's been defeated?
Well, I wasn't sure if they are in the title too or if you've left an empty space to fill.
Y...AWE
Is the Y a word or a name? I supposed the A is just "a"?
Indinera wrote:That's what makes it strategic. You win only if you defeat all the waves. Otherwise you need to start over (you get to keep the XP from the waves you did manage to kill though).
Indinera wrote:It will be all explained in the guide lol
Indinera wrote:In easier mode you can return to a conquered place and grind, should you want to do so.
Indinera wrote:All 4 initials represent words, not a single letter or a name.
Ah, so if I lose the series of fights, I still get to keep the XP? Guess that's a way of grinding too, then.
I never get a guide. I'd think it will be understandable without though ....
What modes are there? What's "easier"? All I need is normal mode, lol.
Well "a" is a word too, right?
Hm, what can the Y stand for?
Yesterday?
Indinera wrote:It is, but it would be dangerous not to allow to keep XP. However, you get a better rating at the end of the game if you never have to start over.
Indinera wrote:In the sample I put the instructions I consider should be available for all, like how to play the game.

Quite incentive! Well, but the perfectionist in me certainly wouldn't let me lose fights anyway. I'd rather start over from a previous save file than lose.
Btw - can we save anywhere?
Okay, then since you said we can grind at easier mode, I guess I'll have to do without.
Any hint? How many letters?
Indinera wrote:I don't want to create obsessional players lol
Indinera wrote:Yes but once in a wave, you can't.
However the Auto-Save does it for you, every fight in Easy, every 5 in Normal.
With Easy you can retry each time you made an unfortunate choice, so it's a great choice for beginners. It helps them master the game.
Indinera wrote:You can grind, too, by trying to go as far as possible in a wave, lose, and retry. It's not much different, but it affects the rating of course.
