Thanks for the new game. I am always looking for a new game from you.

I downloaded the demo and am in the forest to fight the first wave of rats. Each time I clicked the "Fight" buttons or "Rush" button and want to engage in battle, I can't. Instead a page comes up with the following:

Crash detected, attempting to recover
If this error continuous to occur press and hold F8 to exit

Errno:ENOENT: No such file or directory -
Graphics/Animations/009-Weapon04

After this comes a long list of: eval and Section numbers. Can't copy and paste them, and it's a bit much for me to write them all out. Hope the above helps though.

I redownloaded the game, and it's working now. Thanks, Indi. And alas... it does seem that this game is not for me. I am only in the next town and am already confused.

I'm glad the bug is fixed. Always annoying, those "resource missing" bugs.
If you're confused, maybe the instructions manual can help, although equally, maybe not

Hi Indi, I bought a new computer and I am missing RGSS-RTP. I have googled it and it looks like I have to download it somewhere. Not very tech savy, do you know where I can download it? I will still be looking and trying myself, but any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Donna

Hmmm you don't need to do anything, just download or redownload the game if you downloaded it the first time with the bug Vald mentioned.

This game really is a lot more different from the other Aldorlea games, and they weren't kidding when they emphasized on strategy. I know for a fact there's going to be a lot of rage quits on this game, especially if you choose maniac and random. The RNG will break you. Well I already got Derek now so I am going to persevere on this.

Quick question though:

Does a unit fainting cause a score penalty at the end of the game? I'm trying to get all my units alive in the run.
Do higher difficulty levels yield better prizes or secrets, or does it just affect the autosave?

Can't really blame me for asking. I keep remembering the older Aldorlea games of High Risk=High Reward.

I'm tempted to make Easy easier if the Strategy part is too difficult for the players.
Also tempted to delete choosing "random" as I believe it doesn't fit well this game, what do you think?

What's RNG?

Sorry. Better known as the "Random Number Generator" where there's a random chance of a critical hit landing or an attack missing. This game really takes it because just when you think you gain victory, the enemies critical hits you to death taking away your victory. It's that frustrating. Maybe I should restart without the random...

And yeah, "units" that I was talking about are characters, since when you're in Maniac Mode, healing and revivals will be extremely limited. I don't know if a KO character, both general and their troop, would get a point penalty, never mind the fact that revival in battle is out of the question too.
