Indy can confirm, but I don't think there is one.

Yup, it's invisible enemies.

That is too bad, I am disappointed that knowing how some of us hate random you did not give a choice. I won't buy this game or any without the choice of visible or random encounters. I am such a loyal fan of yours and am so very disappointed

I can be disappointed too, that you dismiss an entire game for just that.
In Witch Hunt, you have 60-80 steps between each encounter and you can pick Easy mode to make battles faster. Most games with random encounters aren't remotely as convenient and practical as this.
You seem to think visible encounters magically "appear" in a game - no, it takes a heck of a lot of time to implement both choices, like I did in Millennium.

PS: personally I prefer invisible as long as I can walk a lot of steps between each. :)

I can only confirm, it's not like other games where you walk a few steps and have to fight. There's plenty of fights between battles.
Also, there's an Escape button too.

There's plenty of fights

of "steps"

otherwise it quite doesn't help the case of the game xD

and yes escape would probably work very easily too in Easy mode. :)

let's just say that if you play an Indy game that has secret rooms to find then you really need visible encounters because you kind of have to click on every wall to find them and it's very frustrating to fight monsters non stop while looking for secret rooms.... but if you play a game with no secret rooms then it's okay to play with invisible encounters with a lot of steps between monsters.

There's no secret rooms in this games, but a lot of other stuff to find, and I'm still clicking along walls and items around. That way I certainly have to fight more than if I were just running through the dungeons, but it also levels my characters up nicely.

Thanks everyone I think I will go ahead and purchase from what you and Indy say. The demo did go by fast so I decided not to be so hard headed and buy it since his games are so good anyway. But I do agree that visible encounters are needed when playing and trying to find secret rooms.

PS You are still my favorite game maker

Thank you +

I recommend to pick Easy so that you aren't too bothered by the fights. ^^

I have to reach the bank to put money on my pc games credit card in order to buy the game ... but since I now only started playing Indi's games at maniac mode only for the first time ... I will do the same with this one. I know his style now and I know I can do it so Maniac mode for me all the way from the beggining ... and also no guide either... hardcore style :D
