I just killed that Turtle and it dropped a relic as a reward. Now I'm just wondering ..... so far none of the bosses I killed dropped anything. Are those random drops and have I missed something already?

When Relics are dropped, it's always 100%.

Is there other "important" stuff that's random? Like a good weapon?

How well are you doing so far?

Well, I'm struggling through it, lol.
I'm in the cave after Lochry now and my problem is, I don't want to use any spells in regular fights because I really want to avoid resting, and there's by far not enough items to restore MP, so I want to keep it for the boss fights. But that means having to kill the encounters only with weapons, and that's tough. I'm reloading all the time and progressing very slowly.

How many relics are there - I have 6 for weapons and 9 for armors but the guide states 10 for armors - which and where is the 10th one please

10 for armors but one of them exists in 2 copies.
so you should have twice of one of them.

Well, I'm not fighting any of those, lol.
I don't see how I'd do that. Xendra has that spell that's good against them, but she has soooooo few MP, she can use the spell ... what .... 10 times? I'll rather avoid fighting those things.

Cybel also has quite fast a very good spell against them.

Yes, but her MP need restored too. I don't find that many restoratives, and as long as the monsters don't drop any money I can't go grind either so I can buy stuff. What I find has to suffice, and that I don't trust.
No, I'll rather avoid using spells for now, and F12 is my very best friend atm ....

I managed to do this using spells and no rests. There are a huge number of healing items to find and to get as rewards for fights. I think trying to do this on physical attacks only must be a nightmare.

For me, Xena's Dat Dumb Face was essential in any boss fight. It meant that the enemy never dealt anything like as much damage, so I needed fewer healing items, and was also more susceptible to magic damage.
