Is there a way to get there or is it just a teaser?

yes it is ... you have to find a statue face that you click on it and it opens the gate .... the statue si close hearby ... go top on the left side and you will find it eventualy at the end.

Ok, thank you very much! I've been searching holes for a key, but I must have missed that statue!

Edit: Got it - yup, I didn't pay attention to this! But I figured there'd be something important in that chest!
