I have looked and looked and still have not found the" proper place "

Wow, it's hard to remember the beginning of the game. I didn't find the "proper" spot during my first playthrough. I remember looking for it the second time through and did find it. Sorry, I barely remember, but I think it may be a campsite/fire ring somewhere nearby. Maybe in the second map across the bridge?

The camp area could also be near the lost fortress (west side of Map 2?).

Hopefully somebody with a better memory can help better.

I can't get into the ruins cause I need to rest and can't find the "proper" place to rest either. I have looked all over and am having no luck whatsoever. please anyone help?

There is the small "fire camp" at the very beginning of the woods.
