After the Laxius Team and the Darkness Team merge, do their inventories merge as well? And if so, what happens to items adding up to more than 30?

Moreover, do you have any chance to grind and perfect Sandy and Barretta?

Thank you!

The inventories do merge and the 30 cap remains. So I would encourage you to use up at least those permanent stat boosters before the merge. Both Baretta and Sandy are part of the team sent to the Psychodrium if you get that ending, so you can grind them there. Unless you chose to complete Inexistence Quest #05, it's probably easiest to just give them an Ultramagus ring to perfect their technics. I know a lot of people have said Baretta is weak, but she was absolutely my next strongest, second only to Luciana who was a beast both offensively and defensively, in the party. I had her armed with her Baretta's Special (R), cast Laser Show the first round and Baretta's Special (R) each successive round and she was doing 8000-12000 each time. I never did find a way to make Sandy a strong fighter.

Thank you and thank you, once more!

Indeed, Baretta grows very strong in all cases, and highly specialised on situation upturning! Sandy develops some decent skills and spells too, and I am OK with her!

Baretta has another dream. This one is very short. From where you are, follow the path clockwise to a door and exit to the next map. In this map, follow the path counterclockwise. In the next room you can see Yveen above beyond a locked door. There's a switch directly below, but it doesn't appear to open that door. Actually, it doesn't appear to do anything, but maybe it affects something in the future? I never found a use for it. At any rate, continue following the path. Don't fall into the temptation of exploring anything on the tables, else you risk being poisoned. At the end of the path is another switch. This one will unlock the door. Return to Yveen and keep clicking her until she screams "I'm still crazy" and the dream ends.

MSI Lvl-1- Baretta shows Luciana her Dreamchaser and tells how she's used it to invade Yveen's dreams and mind. She says Yveen is still tormented by the ordeal in the Hall of Madness and it's affected her psychologically. They agree to enter Luciana's mind, with her permission, and rid her mind of all the evil that's crept in. You don't get to choose your party and you won't have a chance to unequip non-party members. It's an all girl party- Luciana, Sarah, Baretta, Wendala and Sandy. The others are considered not mind-powered enough to join, much to Random's displeasure. If you chose to leave the Guild of Inexistence unfinished, you can make better equip set-ups if necessary. If not, well then, it is what it is. Luciana will pretty much single-handedly protect her party and defeat the enemies, so you'll probably be okay. And her Laxius Soul skill restores both HP and MP to all as well. Before entering Yveen's mind, do an MSI Loop. Go to Secret Room 104 and get Baretta's Special (R). She's going to be a lot more powerful than what you're expecting. If you feel you need some restorative items, the vending machine by the Lv1 bookcase will function now that Baretta is in the party. If you completed Inexistence Guild quest 05, you probably won't need those Toxicity Cans. Upstairs on Lv2, in one of the 3 lower rooms, is another Bokden sighting. He asks Baretta if she wants to elope. Coryool wants to fill the small pool with beer. If you haven't completed Inexistence Quest 05, there is a cat fight behind the drums in the Barett'Art room. Downstairs in the basement, Baretta shows off the Mecha-Tree and her Dreamchaser. Finally it's time to enter Yveen's mind, the Psychodrium.

Psychodrium
The Layout- There are 10 maps, but they're all small maps and they all lead to the next. There are at least 8 secret rooms to be found, starting with Secret Room 183. I suspect there are 9, but I haven't yet found the last, Secret Room 191.

Map 1 Entrance- Not much here. There's a chest to the left of the building with a little bit of gold. Nowhere to spend that gold though.

Map 2 Blind corridors- There's really nothing in those corridors, so if you don't need to do more leveling, just head straight through past the Save Book and the stairs in the rear.

Map 3 (Left Stairs)- There are 2 sides here, the left and right, and neither are accessible from the other. The right side leads to your destination, so it would make sense to explore the left side first. There aren't any ??'s so just grab what you can from the 3 treasure chests you'll see along the way. One has a nice bow for Sarah. Continue to the end and climb the stairs to Map 4 which again has a left and right side, both inaccessible by the other.

Map 4- (Left Side)- On this level you'll start encountering dark holes which drain both HP and MP. A few, very few, have items, but nothing important unless you still need ores for crafting. When you reach the first horizontal corridor, Secret Room 184 is through the north wall between a small patch of lighter flooring and a larger patch of lighter flooring. When you reach the end walk into that block separating the left area from the right to find Secret Room 185.

MSI- Check in again at the MSI. In particular, check the Mecha-Tree. Use the menu option <Exit Danger> to go to the entrance map, then exit south and you'll be back in the MSI Deluxe Bedrooms. Now you have a couple of nice bows and, with Baretta's Portable Weaponry skill, anyone can use them. Check the music room on Lvl 2. If you look hard, there are eyes hiding in the wall behind the drums. It's a BOSS cat fight. If you have the Catisfaction in your inventory, you can easily take them out one by one. Return to Yveen's mind and make your way back. Retrace your steps to Map 3 and take the right stairs.

Map 3 (Right Stairs)- The short corridor directly above the stairs leads to Secret Room 183. Follow the path all the way to the end to the stairs leading to Map 4.

Map 4 (Right Side)- Again, watch out for those black holes (walls and floors) that drain HP and MP. Follow the path. The right path down leads to a small room with nothing in it. The left path down then turning left has Secret Room 186 behind some tattered curtains. Continuing down the path, there's a blind path to the left that has nothing but 3 black holes in the wall. The path in front of you has a couple of black holes in the floor. Take the right at the intersection just after those black holes to go into a room with 2 raised squares. There are more black holes, 2 have Mind Spores. Back to the main path and continue down and left, leading to a Save Book and a large room. There's not much there except for some black holes which may or may not contain ores. Retrace your steps a bit and exit this map to the right.

Map 5- Is just one horizontal road. Look for a cluster of 3 light grey squares jn the path. The entrance to Secret Room 187 is just above the middle square going into the waterfall. Near the end of this road is a silver chest with a staff. After a BOSS battle at the flame, continue to Map 6.

Map 6- The Dead Zone, an outside map with non-moving spikes that make it a little hard to navigate. As you exit the stairs, there is a chasm in front of you. Work your way around to the other side of that chasm to find a flame and another Legendary BOSS battle with Nix. Along the way to that battle you'll pass a thin diagonal chasm. Look for a ?? to find another good sword for Wendala. After the battle, work your way back nearer the top again. There is a dark raised plaform with a flame and another BOSS battle. Behind that is a ?? with yet another good bow . You can walk around looking for Mind Clusters and Mind Spores, but that's about it. Above and to the right of the dark raised platform with steps is a building. This leads to your next destination, Map 7, after a Boss battle of course.

Map 7- Now you're inside again. The room ahead of you has exits leading left, up and right. The left exit brings you to 2 chests with a Laserstone Bow and a Psycho-Ring. The upper exit takes you through a larger room, a corridor, and then a room with a pedestal. On top of that pedestal is another Legendary BOSS battle, this time with King Gehenna of the Gnashers. Midway along that corridor, in the north wall, is the entrance to Secret Room 189. Back to the entrance and take the right exit. About midway through that first corridor leading out of that first room, under a decoration, is the entrance to Secret Room 188. Continue the path all the way up to Map 8.

Map 8- The entrance to a building. There are spikes on the grounds to the left and right sides of that building. The left side has one square without a spike. This is the entrance to Secret Room 190. The flame on the steps is a BOSS battle and then Yveen is up ahead. Save your game before speaking to Yveen. Return to the Mecha-Tree by using the menu option <Exit Danger>. Make your way back to this spot and speak to Yveen. She'll take Luciana's spot in the party, so if Luciana has anything Yveen can use, unequip it first. A Resting Sparkle appears as well, which is why you had to use <Exit Danger> before speaking with Yveen. With Yveen in the party, go to the raised structure below and to the left of this building. Climb the steps to find a Nexus Spear. Rest if needed, then enter the building and Map 9. From now on <Exit Danger> will take you back to this Resting Sparkle rather than the MSI.

Map 9- A very simple map. The path to the left leads to a chest with a Book of Madness. The path to the right leads to a chest with another Psycho-Ring. The main path goes straight up. Climb the pedestal to get to a third chest, then exit this map north to Map 10.

Map 10- Up ahead is the final fight.

After the fight, you have the choice of partying in at least 3, maybe 4 places (MSI swimming pool, MSI Barett'Art room, Random's farm, Random's shrine). Watch to see your final stats and scores.

This walkthrough misses Secret Room 191. I just couldn't find it. So that stat was 190/191. It includes 12 Bokden sightings, so 1 sighting was missed. I'd be happy to edit the posts if someone finds these missing items. Also, thanks to Rabbit, 7 BOSS fights have been identified as Legendary BOSS fights.

The room just before the last room with the final fight? There's an identical structure on the left? I've clicked all around both the left and the right, front, back, side, double-clicked, no joy. I think I have the latest version, but it's hard to tell as they're not numbered. Maybe you have an even later version? Anybody else finding it there?

I think you're right in that the entrypoint is missing. I can't seem to get in. When I laoded my save (from inside the room) I exit there, though. I might be forgetting something.

Anastacya's Home- Speak to her older sister upstairs to receive Side Quest 22. You can solve this one immediately if you remember what the name of the bath was in Secret Room 6. You had to click on the sign to read it.

This quest is not started in Anastacya's Home, but the home of the bookman with the 3 daughters. His daughter Inga upstairs gives the quest. But here's the crux. I had not clicked on any sign in SR 6 as I passed through, so I tried to cheat and took a savefile and found the name, thinking I would be allowed to type it in. But when I went back to the current game, knowing the name is no use. It seems that if you do not click on the sign as you come through then you will not be allowed to complete quest 22.

Physcodrum

Postby bobfarq » Sun Jun 18, 2023 10:58 am

I have played this game twice now and never got the Phsycodrum ending. I will take a break now, but someday I will play again and try to complete it this time. But the answer to two questions will help in the future.

How do you get the Psychodrum ending? The second time I donated 100,000 to MSI and this didn't help. Do you have to do all the Baretta dreams? I only did the first three.

How do you beat the Piso King? I only met him twice and never got the chance to finally kill him. I beat him both times before he escaped. Do you have to let him kill you? Where is the third encounter?

And lastly I will definitely rely on Lady JJ's brilliant walkthrough. Well done, a superb effort.

Hello!

Congratulations for your exhaustive word, Lady JJ!

Den Bosch doesn't take me to the Piso King, even after I have met both of them in Yveen's Palace! He just says "Great Teamwork"! What do we have to do in order to be taken there?

Thank you so much for this walkthrough Lady JJ. It's been a lifesaver, but the game is so big and complex that I've missed out on a few things so far.

Re the Guild of Inexistence - like you, my 7 quests weren't enough to satisfy the monk. So I went and did the Guild of Shadows quests. Then I had 10 quests. Went back from Forlani to the Guild of Inexistence, gave Louthros a Fortune Boost as per your suggestion, and YES, it worked! He said "Helped the community". Got lots of perks and rewards. +::YAY

Thanks again. Hope you'll carry on the excellent work for the later chapters of the game.

This walkthrough is great....thanks for all efforts.
I played the game 3 times now, but i can't seem to finish 4 quests. The Piso king quest, i saw there are more that can't get it finished. The bathtub quest is the second. I clicked on the sign in SR6 , i wrote down the name, but when coming back to the person with the quest it is not the right one.
Also i don't know how quest 18 and 21 can be solved. I get quest 18 and when that person is in the inn and i talk to him i do not get a recipe, i talked to Bokden in the Gold dream. Quest 21 is a riddle how to solve also.
