I think you need to upgrade 2, maybe 3, items you bought from the harpy. Unequip them first if needed. Then he should offer you the recipe. This is a one time only opportunity to upgrade those items and/or get the recipe because he doesn't show up again. So make sure you do it now before you leave.

Hold off on the items Kraken offers to craft. You probably don't have enough ores to buy the better craft items and you will be able to return and get them later.

You probably need to "click" on the hole after defeating the hoard of Donkos. Several of Indy's finds have required the player "explore" by hitting the action key after winning a battle.

I need help. Where is MARIVAUX?

He's in the town hall of Faust. The last side quests require good timing. After fixing the transporter, you only get 1 chance to return to Faust. You must return to complete the final quests before entering the Breach and after finding everything in the Underground Tube.

It has something to do with frames per second. It's more important to the game developer than to the game player. F2 will toggle it on and off. Turn it off with F2 if, like me, it annoys you. Sometimes it goes away and then just as mysteriously comes back. Seems to be more of a quirk with the game engine than with anything Indy did.

2nd floor. First you have to pass through 2 lava areas, finally coming out to a grated floor area that leads to a grey circular patterned floor area. Follow it up and to the left. When you get to the rectangular purple pool, you're very close. Just before you exit this area to the left, there's a doorway heading up. That's the entrance.
